Allowances more than tripled to S$477 million, up from S$145 million a year ago. But this still beat an average estimate of S$570 million from three analysts, according to Refinitiv data. 3X more provision cause UOB result to be lower then $1B ....but above all estimate .  Does this justify the $2 price different w DBS ?  Time will tell.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Barring any global issue .....pandemic death /Trump refuse to go ...etc Look at the Q3 result .( include the large provision by ALL 3 banks) ....profit are still in $1b for some ..... all 3 banks are still profitable ....w growth in wealth mgt ...growing AUM    Envy for many other countries and foreign banks.  Funds need to find an investment site wld now choose Spore .....in expectation for a recovery when vaccine is ready ...... where in the world wld be a place to recover fast n ready ??    above is my view only ...and u review the current valuation for our 3 banks ....before this rise it trading at 0.8 X books ??
