x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	While TH has an interest in SMRT, it is a commercial business n there are other investors who are shareholders too.  Like other businesses, it pays taxes n is liable for fines n other penalties imposed by the State for any transgression.  All taxes n other revenues collected by the State, including forfeitures n fines go into what is known as the Cosolidated Fund.  Out of this Fund, Parliament decides on the allocation of various items of expenditure required by ministries n public  agencies, including funding of public subsidy n other schemes that cater to the needy.  This is my understanding.  Apologies if there are any inaccuracies.  If so, hope someone cld help improve it.  gavinl      ( Date: 08-Jul-2015 06:23) Posted: Thanks bro. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SMRT may drop around 2% - 5% tomorrow with some investors exiting the counter due to bad news. bad news is like smelly tofu.. especially national carriers like SMRT. minister lui tuck yew should get the SMRT management to recruit highly responsible people with good pay packets to ensure the maintenance is done diligently, professionally and with people with high integrity.  the national carrier should be maintain and worked on by singaporean locals preferrably but it is kind of hard to find as singaporeans not many actually... and not much talented... coming to the story of little singaporean population.... the govt should build bigger HDB flats with 7 or 8 rooms to ensure the property prices go down effectively and also singaporeans who gave births got enough rooms for the following sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, study, living, idea, baby, store that' s 8 to 9 rooms for a family of 6 to 8 people. how to stay a big family with 3 and 4 room flat... the govt of singaporean not thinking probably... 3 and 4 room flats are for population control countries like china and india... singapore need bigger HDB flats with many rooms of good size. not pigeon size. i drifted a little away from SMRT... but it' s just my views.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I was in town and after my class, saw the crowd at Raffles Place MRT and a few police cars at the bus stop there. Also a lot of ppl walking along the road towards Suntec. Not enough buses and taxi to handle the ppl. Lots of ppl are losing the patience waiting for the transport home and I don't blame them. Hope the fine thingy are transparent and money raised were use properly eg give free transport to needy and old.
