yeeaa i know switching stocks is never easy, especially have to cut loss to switch. Switch correct nevrmind, switch wrong means double whammy liao... Hai. Stressed. Maybe need to tikam tikam liao. Last strategy. Do or Die maybe? Since bros advise me dont put all eggs in one basket. Probably can switch a bit out to others, so even if hankore toh i wont be so jialak this time round?

Bro Spivvy, if I tell you to sell half out of HK and then it starts running higher, I won' t know how to face you. I won' t be  at peace too.

I will only tell you that what I did was to take profit and sit on the side line. But you have to calmly make your own decision.

What  bro Shawn says makes sense. Perhaps this is time to take time out and only make a move when you are decided. Please do not base it on what anyone tells you. Frankly, we are all just ordinary people. Just that some may have the good fortune to be able to make decisions better because  we are not in a position of pressure.

And also banish to hell where u have to suffer for the deeds u have done in our time on Earth. Called Judgement right? Then reborn again. Not sure on other religions. But the concept is that ultimately our time on Earth to experience sufferings is just part of an overall  journey?

Thanks demo for your share of knowledge. I feel that singapore really ought to move in that direction of social security safety net. But sg govt seems to have other ideas. How lidat? Can we make it a better tomolo for sg in our golden years? Can we retire peacefully & say that we will be in good care mah?

Bro Spivvy, just sad to know that only in Singapore the policy is unique.   No social security means that no citizen will get automatic social assistance.   There is nothing to hope for when a Singaporean grows older and older. Only his bank savings if he has any, to survive through his later aged life.   But our main savings are actually in the CPF if we lived long enough to see and feel it but only for show because it is at the mercy of the govt on how it could or should be used.. This is despite that it might have contained our blood and sweat of our working years, on top of our hopes that one day we can enjoy life with the money we saved. 

Most western and developed countries do have social securities that citizens can fall back on in times of temporary difficulties. It helps them to have the courage to venture into the unknowns of business and innovations. If they failed, at least it is easier to start all over again.

In China, they do have monthly paychecks for everybody reaching 55 years. This is similar to the social security of the US.

In Hongkong, elderly people are given good respects, even free bus rides.  

So cannot say that only western countries have social security pay.

Singaporeans (local born ones) are living in a rat race environment.

Majority has nothing to fall back on except the pigeon hole in the concrete jungle.  

There is no opportunity to get rich quick here, unlike in the olden days when one can go right to the top even without paper qualifications.

Times have changed and caring policies have given way to self-care system.

That' s why the number of mental patience like didiseow has increased. 

In other countries, advanced and not so advanced, they have social net to fall on when they grow older or could not work. The people have social security allowance to tie them through in times of unemployment and financial difficulties.   In Singapore we must fend for ourself and members of our immediate family when bad times fall on the family and members.

AT this point, I will say it is at fair value, fair risk level. It has risen by more than 23% since a week ago.

This is not to say it won' t go higher. Just the % are not as attractive as before now.

But it did rise above 1.40 (0.14 pre consol)  level back in late March. Will it get back up there again ? Very much depends on whether the market wants to believe.

Personally, I have moved my money elsewhere. I am bit kia su.

So, in your own assessment do you think hankore is cheaply valued now? Do you look at value or do yu look at the price? An expert said value is not reliable, we should look at the price. If we think  the price  is  low then buy.  I think he dont mean cheap value. Not sure exactly what he menat though.
