But the new time after him is honestly v much harder.  The world is getting smaller, our island location advantage disappear w internet shrinking the world. Labor production and location dont play a major role any more. Worst, competition is GLOBAL no more south east asia ( which we hv an advnatage) High tech and great resources are needed. ( brains ) ....we a zero resources and limited population growth ( some more complaints and complaints when foreign talent comng in etc.) .....How are we to compete w 1B  IT india ,a 1.3B working China ( plus AI etc etc) Western economies ( giants w large resources also having trouble) Honestly imho .....if Singaporean dont unit and grow tgt w a honest government rule .....I think we are finished within a couple of decades. One mad leader like Trump or neighbour Phillipines and we are finished. How to run a zero resources country w ONLY man brains and hard work .....tough v tough. The old framework is crumbling. We really need a review and restructuring and injection of fresh ideas.

Temasek holds 11.18% Maju (fully owned by Temasek) holds 18.05% DBSN Svcs (fully owned by DBS) holds 9.63% DBS Nominees (fully owned by DBS) holds 15.19% Total: 54% If DBS ever topple, it means a huge chunk of CPF money is wiped out.  Not to mention how much of depositors' money.
