I think so.  The Indon parties bought at 2.3 cents, but there are alot of people who also bought around there and taking profits. Long run should be ok.

It is worth it.  My friend took the course, and started making money from his overall investments.  His portfolio grew by 18% currently.

I agree with you.
Proper teachers are very important when learning how to trade/invest. Anyway, watching show now. Hoping to pick cheap durians. Or would adventus/arti/beng kuang be better?

Not cheap, the tuition money works out to around $3,000 for a very good course.  Some friends succeeded and ebgan making money after taking up the course. There are other cheaper courses, but the difference is in the materials they teach.

Actually, I think he gave good advice, better to start using simulation exercises.        It' s always very exciting to go into trading, but without the experience can be highly risky.      Even experienced traders can be caught on wrong side, it' s a continuing learning experience.        |

I m damn jek ark to say this but then... Maybe it is better to lose tuition money as a noob than to lose a bigger sum when you are " more confident" after learning to paper trade.     |

Bros, paper trading are my own term and they are for newbies n for learning purposes only. Not meant for professional traders like you guys lah.
It is similar to those poems challenge 2014 n sgxstockwhiz challenge where you are given a virtual money of $100,000 to practice and hone your trading skills. I know many of you are loaded or have deep pockets but give a thought to the newbies!

Hahaha. Wah lau, Issac!! Paper trading has no effect on the market.   We often hear players' said, " O,when I buy the price fell immediately, and when I sold off, it shoots up, don' t know why?" .   That means that when you are on paper trades, there is not action and reaction to the share price of the stock. The action happens because of the effect of somebody (mostly bbs in the queues) taking over your positions long or short whichever of your real trades. So in paper trades, the BBs are not playing with you.   Lol. |

I dont play on every trading day. I play one counter each time. I do my home work before i play. Sometimes i follow Bro SC call ~i go in late sometimes (after dd) but i make sure i come out earlier than anyone else making just a bit. I hv different cut loss level for different counter. Most importantly i "wait to buy". I dont play counters that i hv no confidence of winning.
Still sometimes i lose! Overall, i make sure i dont hv to make payment to the broker but receiving cash from the broker! Honestly speaking, it is very hard to make big money playing contra. I suggest u do paper trading. No money no broker involved. Just recording onto a piece of paper your buy n sell! Make sure u hv a remark column. End of each session, write down the reason why u make or lose money! When u r ready, you try out small lots with actual cash. Why small lots? If you lose, u dont lose a lot.

Bro, just an advice, dont borrow to punt. Even if u borrow to punt, one must weigh the risk and reward. The interest you pay and the return from capital gain is it worth. What if it is not a capital gain?

Yes, thats how u do due diligence. You must also think as the investor or the company.
Now make a comparison with adventus n or say otto or federal n judge for yourself which one is a safer buy or which one u think can hv better of chance of going south (i mean very south). If u r looking at mid term gain, maybe can do a study on geo energy! Look at the high n now 25.5c (ipo 32.5). I think drop by almost 50% from high alrdy. Dont just judge on the fundamental. This one judge on TA n your feeling. Then go with yr heart. Dont expect overnight chiong! Check also when is the next reporting! ( this one high debts huh but continue to expand in terms of productions, coal price still considered low). I am not asking you to buy huh! Just sharing with you some of the safer stocks than adventus n polaris.

Polaris: Proposed Issue Of S$100 Million Regulation S Senior Secured Guaranteed Note. Polaris is in big expansion plan currently. The co. has to work harder to attract investors to subcribe to its note. 2013 net profit was less than a million. The share price is less than 3 cents, consider super penny, not attractive enough for investors to put in $100 million. The co. has to at least show that its share price and profit have appreciated much inorder to attract more investors. |
