This is the first time that a company is pushing through a rights issue without announcing the price! And they don' t seem interested in supporting their share value. Creating all these uncertainty will cause the price to plunge even further. My take - they know that they' re running into deep problems and this is their last resort of raising funds. Why allow their price to plunge? So that lots of people will think it' s under valued and jump in thinking it' s cheap. But here' s the catch - once the buyers have loaded the stock, they will announce the rights price and all the investors will have no choice but to subscribe or sell the rights (if anyone will buy). To me it' s clear that this is a trap to corner the investors and suck them dry one last time. Imagine 2 for 1 rights issue will cause 3 times more shares in the already flooded market of people waiting to dump ezra shares. There can only be one way for the share price and that' s down. I' m quite confident that 20 cent will be breached very soon. |

Yeah, quite scary knowing the management seems desperate enough to pursue a vote on the rights issue in an EGM without first deciding on the rights pricing. Makes you wonder who' s holding up the pricing and why.

Theses days, rights issue usually mean price drops immediately after. Can get at cheaper price after if you really want in invest. |

Banks are prepared to value this stock not more than 10 cents. Big delima to buy the rights or not. Both ways you are a loser. I feel best thing to do is sell at current price and cut your loss. |

EMAS Offshore wins $30m contract in West Africa
Singapore-listed offshore services provider, EMAS Offshore has secured a contract in West Africa worth over USD30 million, including options. According to the company's filing to the Singapore Exchange, the contract is part of a larger project awarded to EMAS AMC, the Subsea Services division of Ezra Holdings for the charter of multiple vessels to an oil major in West Africa, and was awarded following a 'competitive tender process'. Under the contract, EMAS Offshore will charter four marine vessels including an accommodation barge, platform supply vessel, and anchor handling tug supply to EMAS AMC, to provide accommodation, anchor handling, towing, supplying, and other support services. Moreover, EMAS Offshore will participate in a major maintenance, modifications and operations project under the contract. Work is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter, with average duration of approximately 1.3 years, including options. |

It is evident that global demand is growing whether to stock pile as in China or actual utilization due to the season as in US, Saudi seems determined to keep the price of WTI contained around US$60 by producing more. Else it could have rally above US$65 or higher. Ezra serves market of Gulf of Mexico and West Africa and it will depend if there countries continue to pump out more too. Some of Ezra's customers including Noble Energy and Chevron are still doing well and should continue to pay. | ||||

It seems that the price of oil may not directly impact the price of Ezra recently. I'm puzzled by the indicative a dates for the Rights exercise. Besides yet to determine its price and the date of cum rights and having the EGM only on 23 Jun, it already published indicative dates for last day of trading with cum rights as 25 Jun ? Assuming the motion is passed on 23 Jun, that will leave effectively only a day or 2 to have the shares listed as cum rights ? What will happen if the Rights exercise is rejected at EGM ? Shareholders definitely need more clarity next week leading to the EGM.

This counter ezra got rights issue er not? Yes or no? If yes, then probably a entry point for this share will be around 0.19x to 0.21x. After rights issue and flood into market.... There will be onslaught of shares flying around. |

If there aren' t many lots shorted today, that means the selling was done by genuine sellers with real holdings. And there were big lots dumped today. Probably some institutions.

I don' t wish to be nosey but cosco used to be $8 and I still know of friends who bought it that time are still hoping that it will go back to that price. The issue with ezra is that it is more serious than what it seems. If they are ok financially, do they need to do a 2 for 1 rights issue with no price indication? I fear they have exhausted their lines of credit and this is their last resort. Remember they have one of the most unhealthy balance sheets in the market. And the O& G down cycle has JUST begun. |

Cannot be zero lah... this stock was trading above a dollar in good times. Am using CPF funds to hold for longer term so do not bother if price ding dong around here as have the time to wait for exit price. |
