If you look at the three charts in this article https://www.fool.sg/2015/06/15/heres-why-ezra-holdings-limited-and-noble-group-limited-may-actually-deserve-their-shocking-price-declines/, then some of the key business metrics for Ezra have been on a negative trend since 2011 well before the decline in the oil price in 2014. Chart 1, Ezra share price, negative trend even though the price of oil was close to US$100/barrel for 3.5 years. Chart 2, Ezra profit, in decline over the period and Chart 3, Ezra&rsquo s Return on Equity in decline whilst the Total Debt to Equity was increasing. Ezra&rsquo s performance over the past 5 years cannot be attributed to the decline in the Oil price which only commenced in mid-2014, there must be other business fundamentals at play. |

Nowadays, same story is used at different times for opposing purpose. Suka suka, say rig count drop, pump oil px up. No even rig ct drop 10, 20% no use - cos new story line is glut worries grow, china growth concerns make things worse, bla, bla, bla. Maybe one day more people will begin to sit up n think - are a few people leading the whole mkt by the nose.

The US rig count last Friday reported dropped 34 or 5%. That was a very significant drop that was ignored. The winter in US and Europe is just beginning to bite. It came late and not as reported that the winter is warmer this year. There may be surprised drawdown this week of the inventory. The Middle East tension is likely related to oil besides the execution of Iran Cleric and burning of Saudi Embassy. There may be interest to disrupt the production of oil from Iran or to force them to 'misbehave' and threaten the full lifting of the embargo. These could be signs that Saudi and the rest of the oil producing countries are not able to live with the current crude prices and they will have to do something soon. | ||||

The drastic correction over last 2-3 days are a result of a combination of drop in oil prices, China slowdown and its stock market correction, loss reporting by EMAS, profit drop of Triyard and profit guidance issued by Ezra. Looks like a 'perfect storm'. When it is over, green shoots and reconstruction will begin. Will have to see how much more it will need to stomach till it announces its Q1 result Jan 14. When the spring is pushed further down, it will also spring harder back provided it has not lost its elasticity entirely to a total limbo state.

Not sure if I read correctly that Ezra IPO price was $0.34 in Mar 1999 ? Of course it has spun off Triyard and EMAS since then. | ||||

EMAS released its result at 7:42am this morning. Together with Triyard result released last Friday, they were probably factored into Ezra price today. Watch for Jun 14 when Ezra releases its Q1 result. They already provided guidance of a loss. Will have to see if it is above or below estimates.
