x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Agree with your observations on recent corporate action. Rights issue is off the table as Sembcorp had the cash to pay dividend and redeem perps. My read now is that it' s bad news for Sembcorp for sure. (1) Sembmar shares shot up prior to halt, not Sembcorp (2) Halted till today means letting shareholders digest bad news over the weekned (recall SIA rights issue), new tactic in the govt playbook called the ' Circuit Breaker' . CB really. Sembcorp will have to either stomach the losses if Sembmar is privatised. Worst case is Sembcorp will take further financial hit to swallow it.  ICXGOLD      ( Date: 05-Jun-2020 14:21) Posted: Just notice something interesting looks like something was cooking before the halt. On 3rd June SM jumped up from 0.72 to 0.82. And its average volume went up from 2.5 million to 14 million. Based on valuation this should be trading $3.80 ( P/B 0.398 ) Broker call ( DBS made a buy call after MSCI exist ) RHB hold target 1.7 Cash : Just paid Dividends - they could have backed away if finances were bad. On 22nd June they are buying back 600 million worth of PERP so money is not an issue for SCI at present. So personally I dont' thing that they would take a crap deal if there was one on the table. I based on the above I am inclined to think its positive. But that we will know later. If the news is negative ( its 60% undervalued ) So whatever downside is knee jerk reaction . 50% owned by Tamasek, i would place it near SIA. Will get backing if needed. So lets hope for the best.
