Touch 24 cents. You can see the accumulated is in process at 23.5 cents. The increase is in conjunction with Tawana. It up 6% for today. The price will go up by the end of this week. Not buy recommendation, but can hold if you already have. The BB buy at 23.5 cents, will then push up for selling. |

there are number of new energy approaches, lithium is one of them China is unlikely to use lithium one as: a.   fuel cell has advantage than lithium one b.   china is not rich in lithium and as  the energy tactics, china would not dependend upon the foreigh resource as much as possible    ( Japan does some thing,   eg, toyota Mirari - hydrogen fuel cell car ) if AM cannot be in the operation in a short period, it may be a problem.

Chinese plan to phase out petrol lifts lithium
Lithium players have enjoyed strong gains this week after the government of the world&rsquo s most populated country indicated it would ban petrol and diesel-powered vehicles.
While China&rsquo s government did not give a date for the proposed ban, it said it was working with its regulators on a deadline that would mandate the introduction of low-emission electric vehicles.
Cannacord Genuity senior mining analyst Reg Spencer said China was the world&rsquo s biggest car market at 25 million new units a year compared with 18 million in the US.
&ldquo If China can move to a 100 per cent electric model, and assuming unit sales remain steady, then the implications for demand are enormous,&rdquo Mr Spencer said.
&ldquo Assuming an average battery size of 30kWh, that would require 500,000t of battery-grade lithium a year, just for electric vehicles, just for China.
&ldquo To put that in context, the global market for lithium for all applications including non-battery is about 240,000t in 2017.&rdquo
Patersons Securities resources analyst Juan Pablo Vargas de la Vega said WA&rsquo s lithium miners had a unique, five-year window of opportunity to integrate their operations into downstream processing, thereby insulating themselves against a potential lithium supply glut in future.
Lithium concentrate is worth about $US800-$US900/t compared with about $US13,000/t for lithium carbonate and $US18,000/t for lithium hydroxide, highlighting the premium paid for battery-grade material.
Shares in Kidman Resources closed at an all-time high of 83¢ yesterday after it locked in a $110 million joint venture agreement with Chile&rsquo s SQM over its Mt Holland lithium project near Southern Cross.
The agreement includes an option for a 50 per cent stake in a lithium refinery at either Kwinana, Kalgoorlie or Kemerton.

Is Tesla working on any of these post-lithium chemistries? It would be strange if they were not. We know that  the company is constantly evaluating new battery technologies. &ldquo Tesla has one of the largest cell characterization laboratories in the world &ndash we have just about every cell you can imagine on test,&rdquo Tesla Product Planner Ted Merendino told me back in 2013. However, both Elon Musk and JB Straubel have said that so far, they&rsquo ve seen no viable replacement for lithium-ion, and believe me, they&rsquo ve been asked the question many times.
&ldquo We have yet to see even a single example&hellip of a cell working at the laboratory level that is better than the one that we have, or the ones that we expect to come out with,&rdquo said Elon Musk in 2014. Now, the way I parse this statement, he isn&rsquo t saying that there&rsquo s no improved battery technology in the offing &ndash on the contrary, he&rsquo s saying that Tesla will be the one to develop it.

The factory is being developed by Mercedes-Benz manufacturer Daimler, which will devote approximately &euro 500 million (or $562 million) to churning out batteries for electric vehicles and stationary storage.

Automakers such as BMW need to secure a sufficient supply of lithium because it it is an important raw material for the batteries that power full-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. BMW plans to sell 100,000 electrified models this year after delivering 62,000 battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to customers in 2016. That number is expected to rise fast as emissions rules get tougher in Europe and other parts of the world.
