x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Price is fluctuating now as public is not decided where the whole thing will go, whether a takeover is indeed in the works. My own personal feel is that Charoen will go after the UE buy  with blunt force.    OCBC needs to raise cash to fund it' s Wing Hang bank purchase, it' s not just buy over the bank, but there' s re organisation and restructuring costs, expansion plans, etc. Charoen would likely ask for the full stake to enable him to take UE whole, like what he did to F& N, then strip the assets to combine with his property play.    Willing buyer, willing seller. Hope someone comes in to up the ante after that.

The takeover price will be offered to all shareholders at the price bought. A second scenario is will there be another suitor to challenge Charoen if UE is considered undervalued?        Given the past, when Charoen fought Heineken over F& N, the guy has deep pockets. So UE could be worth more than we can imagine now.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	A quick look at UE' s 2013 financials, there is almost $2bln assets (investment property) on the books.      Not sure if WBL assets are consol. Recent results announced by UE were excellent, so the price will hve to be attractive enough to sell out any asset.
