Seatrium had noted during its third quarter business update on Nov 8, 2023, that a net loss for the full year is expected,  despite improving operational and financial performances. Photo: Seatrium Seatrium S51 3.7% has announced the successful delivery of Brassavola, the first membrane LNG bunker vessel the company has built locally in Singapore, to owner Indah Singa Maritime, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K Lines (MOL). Following delivery, Brassavola will be chartered by Pavilion Energy to supply LNG bunkering in the Port of Singapore. The vessel, which is expected to commence operations in February 2024, will also be deployed by TotalEnergies Marine Fuels to serve its customers under a long-term agreement with Pavilion Energy. Pavilion Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek headquartered in Singapore. Its global energy business encompasses natural gas supply and marketing activities in Southeast Asia and Europe, global LNG trading, shipping and optimisation, as well as energy hedging and financial solutions. Well, at least to me it is the perfect opportunity for this new management to get rid of the old and unwanted legacies. More importantly, the incremental losses are mainly due to writing off the unwanted stuffs sitting on the books. Looks like 2023 losses would be around $500mil to $1billion since 2022' s losses was $261mil....even announcement of P84/ P85 contract win also cannot save Sink51 in  the short term. Have to wait til Q1 update in May/ June for a change in tone.
