x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Old news lol, $5 and $10 plans have been here for years already Also heard of a $2 plan years ago, not sure if still have The 3 main telcos still got many loyal supporters not switching for many reasons Cheaper plans coverage not as good, try going underground in trains or driving along unhabited areas like KJE, you will lose all connection most of the time Plans like TPG only works with 5G phones.  To make phone calls without 5G phones, you need to download their app Bad thing is, after you close the app you are no longer connected and a lot of phones actually close or put apps into background after the screenlock goes on Means no one can call you anymore after screenlock = disconnected Discount bundles if you get (for example) all three services, phone, internet and tv subscription Some love to get free phones or heavily discounted phones every two years (although mathematically doesn' t really add up and you still pay more, just some funny mentality I guess) Older generations prefer to stick to proven brands that have been around for decades and don' t mind paying more, it is the perceived quality of service which may not be true Most switchers are from the younger generations (older generations don' t really use much data generally speaking) So the impact is there but gradual, as more and more younger generation enters the workforce And yes, the 3 main telcos are really giving a lot of slack to the other telcos lol   Shadow777      ( Date: 01-Jun-2022 15:39) Posted: Not to also mention that they are others telcom who are offering a $5 plan for senior citizens 60 and above which has more data and is much cheaper. The 3 main telcom really need to change their strategy regarding this, more and more people are knowing of it and have cancelled their plans opting for cheaper alternatives.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	And you are not wrong in selling at your own TP.   This is a perfect example to let everyone know - there is a certain risk whichever road any of you take. You sell to gain some profit from the lower price you bought but decided to let go as you think it is not worth your time to park your money until XD in August. Whether the price goes down further or goes up, nobody really knows. You probably think re-investing your cash on some other stocks is more worth your time rather than going for season parking with Singtel. However there is that risk when you reinvest your money on other stocks as it might not turn out as you projected or could make more money for you to re-invest in Singtel for lower price. So, as you all can see there are some variables on investing in stocks. It is partly about the right time to enter or exit.  Buying high does not mean it is the end of the road if you did not sell at a loss. Some may not have done their own DD - so at the end of the day you have your own self to blame as you did not time correctly when buying a stock. Again, do not invest blindly. It is always a GIVE and TAKE situation. I give by investing money into your company and take my returns from the dividends and whatever profits i make from the price I invested on. Yes holding long term will let you gain some money but if it drop and I buy in again and sell once.it goes up again...then it's better holding long term. 2 to 3% just isn't worth it unless you kept at it for more than 5 years. Not everybody has a few hundred thousands to hold and need their capital asap. Fair enough tho some of your explanations.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I also suspect there' s another reason why Singtel keeps losing the price, but I can' t say it out.    But it' s going to change very soon.      You all can try to figure it out, when price shoots up it' s already too late.    If go down, I just accumulate more.    The time is coming for Singtel to shine, after so many years of being in the shadows.
