The shortist dominance permeates throughout SGX. Comapnies either do not bother reply or are unable to reply. These shortists are sucking the life out of the bourse, in my opinion and it is the retail investors who are suffering most. SGX is undergoing a slow death, I think, with many companies delisting and very few new listings. |

Global energy sector PE at 7.91 vs RHP at PE of 3+. IF I were EU, I would buy RHP at such a cheap PE to get all their oil. The tug-of-war continues between physical market vs financial market.

Institution sentiment changing on energy? BB' s starting to nibble? Over the weekend, UOB in an ST article talked about continued strengthening of US$ (favorable to RHP as their sales in US$ and costs mostly in local currency) and their view of a $110-120 oil price in late 2022. Today in BT weekly retail vs institution buy/sell column shows institutional net buy of energy, oil and gas sect sectors: +$2.9m (8/22 week), + $0.7m (8/29 week) and +$4.6m (9/5 week) by institutions while retail investors were sellers in all 3 weeks. Retails seemed to be selling cheap to the big guys again... |
