x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The 3 banks is leading the charge ....path to recovery w Biden win .    OCBC result is good ...  Both DBS n OCBC grow fee and AUM income well in such econ condition .  As expected DBS continue w 18c dividend  UOB is catching up .....hard to see DBS above 22 and yet UOB is below 21 ???  Now nearly $2 different ? ( hmmmmm)  All 3 banks are performing better then expect esp w current condition  Longer term ...w full year result ....and DIVIDEND FOR Q4 .....:))  plus a Biden win  DYODD ...

All in all, a heartening result well within expectations. FATABA      ( Date: 04-Nov-2020 08:53) Posted: UOB Group (" Group" ) reported 3% quarter-on-quarter (" QoQ" ) improvement in operating profit for the third quarter of 2020 (" 3Q20" ) as margins and fees recovered. Net earnings for 3Q20 was S$668 million, 5% lower than the second quarter of 2020 (" 2Q20" ) and 40% lower than the third quarter of 2019 (" 3Q19" ), due to the pre-emptive build-up of credit allowance of S$339 million this quarter. Net earnings for the first nine months of 2020 (&ldquo 9M20&rdquo ) stood at S$2.23 billion, 33% lower than a year ago. The softer performance was a result of declining margins, slower customer activities and pre-emptive credit provisioning in view of the uncertainties from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Group&rsquo s balance sheet remains robust with ample liquidity and strong Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio at 14.0%. Together with a credit reserve of S$2.71 billion built-up for non-impaired assets, the Group is well positioned to navigate through this difficult time.
