Still congrats to you, they are trading above par. If you not happy with the yield, you can get back your money without loss/profit after commission.

Bro, well said. Will see how is the yield tomorrow and decide (btw, OCBC charges $100.3 but SCB charges $100.5 for the same amount)

A large chunk of the orderbook will withdraw if coupon is below 4%. It will be more difficult for you to get allocation if it is 4.25% (as per indicative). I assume you didn' t instruct any cut-off for your yield (eg. don' t apply for you if yield is below 4%), if the final yield is 4% and below, your chances of allocation will be higher, but coupon is lower. Good luck!

https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-noble-grp-banks-breakingviews-idUSKBN18Y0H0 Quote - credit and equity investors are betting the company' s debts are probably unmanageable, and a bankruptcy filing or some similarly painful fix is likely.

Sorry, a lot of typos lately Some REITs are over-stretched and their bonds in secondary market giving higher yields than ordinary shares.

Switching to REITs is a different league for portfolio asset allocation. FCL 3.65% gives a better return than SSB with short tenor. It is a safe instrument for more conservative bond investors. I also parked my children' s savings in some ultra-low risk instruments giving 3.5%pa, which is better than 0.05% from POSB or 1% fixed deposits.

Lately i suggested a very safe < 4% bond to someone and his son voted for REITs because of the > 5% projected returns. I think it boils down to risk appetite. Ya, capital gain or loss is a major factor in REITs, yield is actually secondary. So REITs are over-stretched and their bonds in secondary market giving higher yields than ordinary shares.

this one is by DBS, i didn' t sign the form with them previously & RM told me is  too late to do it today, booked with another 2 banks now but they all said chances of getting is very slim as " demand is over-whelming" .... too much liquity in the market, no wonder some new property launch can see big crowd packed the whole show room

diversify the risk no doubt REITS give a higher dividend yield but the risk level is relatively higher as well. I already own quite a number of REITS right now

Just curious why?  I switched my FCL 3.75% bond to REITs. The best local REITs are giving about 8% dividend. And you can pay the up and downs of price movement.

If rumours about bankers' demand for bond consent-solitication are true (or not), in order to extend lending facility, Noble should halt trading to clarify, instead of seeing the ordinary shares falling below 30 cents like now. Noble Group is said to ask lenders to extend credit facility " Pricing of unsecured bonds and loans reflects the market perception that probability of default is high," said Rick Mattila, international head of market strategy at MUFG Securities Asia. http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/noble-group-is-said-to-ask-lenders-to-extend-credit-facility

If they find a white knight at all, the $400M bond will get a hefty haircut.   There is no way they are going to pay full.   Smarter still will be to buy up the bond at low low price before any announcement - Is that something legal or ethical? | ||||

Noble hits new lows today at 32 cents as investors are now questioning why regulators allowed the Noble 2022 bond placement in March 2017, sitting on a whopping 60% loss in 3 months. A record for local SGD corporate bond. Bankers are now concerned that new fundings could be channeled to the US$400mio bond maturity in 1Q18. They are unwilling to grant any unsecured refinancing unless bond/debt restructuring consent solicitation is obtained.
