glad to hear there are kind souls around to keep warning others of treading in dangerous waters. the penny stocks reflect the way how mining companies upon striking gold in the deep depth of the earth hit jackpot. so it is perfectly fine to try one' s luck in jumping in for the long ride. risk takers will be handsomely rewarded and kenna blue black if no gold is found. at least SGX has this avenue for those who believe in non boring dividend yields plays to get excitment. Overnight can become a millionair chance in a lifetime.

I think you should avoid using " cheenas" as it was used by Japanese to insult Chinese during the war. 2 HK Leco members were disqualified of their seats as they also used it in their oath taking n created lots of sentiments.

SINGAPORE (Nov 25): Here are some factors and stocks that could move the market this Friday morning: John Soh Chee Wen, who has been named by the authorities as the alleged mastermind behind the penny stock fiasco of 2013, was arrested by the police on Thursday and will be charged on Friday. Apart from Blumont Group, LionGold Corp and Asiasons Capital (now called Attilan Group), six other companies made various announcements about the CAD investigation around that time. They were IPCO International, ITE Electric, Annica Holdings, Magnus Energy, Innopac Holdings and ISR Capital. ADVERTISING
Meantime, IPCO announced its interim CEO Goh Hin Calm was under arrest by the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) in connection with an investigation. " Neither Mr Goh nor the CAD has provided the company with any other details," it said. " The group will make further announcements and keep shareholders informed of any developments." Several local brokerages have put up trading restrictions on ISR Capital on fears of a massive selldown of its shares. On Thursday, KGI Securities restricted purchases of the stock by its clients to $50,000 each. Its clients are also required to trade the stock through their brokers instead of via the firm&rsquo s online trading platform. Other brokers that have such trading restrictions in place include Maybank Kim Eng, OCBC Securities, CIMB, Lim & Tan and RHB Securities. ISR had requested for a trading halt at 2.32pm after its share price fell 55% to 12.7 cents, prompting the Singapore Exchange to issue a query on unusual trading activity. |

When a stock is flying, n people try to warn abt its dangers, wld anyone bother to listen? Not only wld people not listen, some wld even accuse the kind souls of sucking on sour grapes. When Blumont was flying, I even had people telling me, it' s not surprising n that it was expected cos it was a " growth" stock. So, sadly people learn only when the truth eventually surfaces. But do we learn from scams like these? I only hope we do. Truth though is I cldn' t be further from reality.

sgx must admit this stock exchange is a mickey mouse standard unable to attract good high quality companies to list here. It can only attract penny stocks only. SGX is very forturnate that Indo cheenas, msia cheenas and prc cheenas operators/syndicates help it to grow so fast. This exchange serves its purpose- a vehicle to do backdoor listings ( M& A) and a laundry machine for few years. |
