1.35-1.39 is 1.5 years high. 😂 😂 😂 . Who bought within 1.5 years are holding profit now. Starhub is temasek baby, when company growth with revenue and net positive cash flow(generate cash, not like SCM cash burnt), liabilities can leave it aside. Starhub new CEO already set target to turn starhub profit to 400 over mio per year in 4 years, if as per plan, 4 year later starhub will be above 4.5 dollars. What is SCM plan? No future at all.

Furthermore, Starhub is a telco company. Very hard for a telco company grow organically or for overseas acquisition. Hardly any country allows their telco operator owns by foreigner. Look at what happened when TH entered Thai market.

Besides, any privatising, will have to take over Starhub' s liabilities lo.

RECEIPT OF NOTICE OF ARBITRATION

Sembcorp Marine Ltd (the ' Company' ) wishes to inform
that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd (' JSPL' ) has received a notice of
commencement of four arbitrations from a vendor (the ' Vendor' ) under four separate
contracts for the supply of certain equipment for some of its projects.
JSPL maintains that the contracts for the supply of equipment were validly suspended or
terminated. Parties have been in discussions over the payment claims from the Vendor for
such suspension or termination, but have yet to reach an agreement. The Vendor has now
commenced arbitration proceedings making allegations of breach and for payment. The
amounts purportedly claimed are for invoices of approximately USD76 million plus other costs
and interests under the four contracts, all of which remain to be proved by the Vendor.
JSPL has engaged legal advisers for the four arbitrations proceedings and will defend all
claims made against it.
The Company will provide updates on material developments on this matter as appropriate.

😂 😂 😂 starhub revenue, profit and net cash flow all are in growth. SCM all are opposite. Of course buy big and hold starhub. If privatise, surely more than M1 privatise at 2.06. Starhub is only 1.35 now. Starhub market cap only 2.2bil. SCM is 2.78bil. Only scammers scam to buy SCM

Starhub new CEO bought shares at 1.37 with his own 1mio cash from his own pocket. SCM CEO took more than 10mio from SCM through bonus and salary in past good years, didn't even dare to subscribe the rights at 8cents. Hpwever, Scammers here scam to buy at 8 cents and above and declared SCM is cheap to buy. Instead of measure the share price with the value of the company, they measure it with "8cents". Just because in real life 8cents is cheap. SCM worth for 0 if no merge plan with keppel o&m. Short term target is 4-5cents.

So only 2 good class bungalow, then why SCM doesn' t settle privately? That' s my point. Every penny counts now. So they have to be careful especially considering the sources of those fund right now. Otherwise, lowly geared or not, it will tank itself slowly.

I am just stating facts and my opinion. No conjectures like certain expert here. I am not saying it' s going to 4 or 5 or 10 or 11. No crystal ball here.

Market may not be bothered also. It certainly seemed so today.

I hold a slightly different view. It' s more than 5% of their cash position.

If today SCM (or anybody in fact) is happily chucking along, flushed with cash/projects, this probably would not have come to arbitration/light. Some form of settlement would have been reached privately and accounted for somewhere in the book perhaps buried.
But now every penny counts.

Just my opinion.

It' s true SCM not necessarily has to pay all or even part. I guess there is difference in interpretation of the contracts.
