But the reason for gaining a controlling stake over keppel shows that it knows that singapore' s offshore and marine sector is at stake here( about 8% of SG' s GDP) Something will happen or actions will be taken. We just don' t know what is going to be done yet. Unlikely to see temasek holdings do nothing and let the industry collapse like dominos. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SMM' s current market cap is only at 1.5 billion not expensive at all. I' m wouldn' t be surprised if a merger happened between SMM and keppel goes through or privatisation of SMM. Of course, there are still risks involved. SMM is almost at its 18 year low now.

Other shareholders are banks which are nominees. They are not shareholders of SMM. All big institutions who were shareholders in the past have sold all. For example, BlackRock. This clearly shows that they have given up hope of SMM. Only the retails are still holding it.
