They received the letter on 19 and immediately halted. I thnk news was leaked. That' s why solddown before the halt. I guess not that bad lah. Stop work due to new application for large operation, not because of the problem. And, Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation is their partner. Sure got approved. |

But if they r going to expand their operation, shouldn' t they stop work and go thru audit, etc to allow regulatory bodies to review the new applied status? Msia is still Msia.they will approve anything if they r ' satisfied' . Onkyo question is stop how long The temporary order was made in connection with the State Government?s review of the Company?s application for Large Scale Operation status, which will allow for the mining of unlimited amounts of ore from Sokor. |

Usuālly they dont ask a company to stop work unless this company violates the agreement or there are environmental issues..
Imagine every month stop.work means zero production While workers can go sit elephants there |

GAMEOVER..STOP WORK ORDER
Company Registration No.: 201119104K) REVIEW OF APPLICATION FOR LARGE SCALE OPERATION STATUS The board of directors (the ?Board?) of CNMC Goldmine Holdings Limited (?CNMC? or the ?Company?) wishes to announce that the Company?s Sokor gold field project (?Sokor?) received a letter on 19 July 2016 from the Kelantan State Lands and Mines Office (?PTG?) of Malaysia requesting the Company to temporarily stop all works and operation at Sokor. The temporary order was made in connection with the State Government?s review of the Company?s application for Large Scale Operation status, which will allow for the mining of unlimited amounts of ore from Sokor. Together with the Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation (?KSEDC?), CNMC?s joint-venture partner in the Sokor project, the Company has since been working closely with PTG and other relevant authorities in Kelantan to ensure it meets all the regulatory requirements for Large Scale Operation status. The Company and KSEDC will meet PTG and other relevant authorities in Kelantan next week to discuss the application for the Large Scale Operation status. In view of the above, the Board is of the opinion that the temporary stop-work order should be lifted in due course and will keep shareholders informed accordingly. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company. When in doubt, they should seek independent advice from their stockbrokers, bank managers, solicitors, accountants or other professional advisers. It' s not bad new actually. They r applying for large scale mining thus have to temporary stop work while regulatory approval ongoing. It will be great if they get the approval eventually bcos high profit. Only bad news if not approved. |

Thanks. I was reading this thread to find out what is the halt about. A temporary stop work order are sokor mine. It is bad. Expect a gap down tmr and everyone rushing to exit. Unless someone can shed some light that it' s still a good long term buy?
