As the yield rises, the price of bonds drops, and bond holders will sell to prevent losses until the coupon payments are able to cover them. Bond holders sell, but who is buying? The answer is obvious - the central banks are buying up. Where did they get the money to buy? Just by printing money. The is the cycle. Can the central banks stop buying these bonds now? The answer is obviously no. They can' t stop now until the whole world recovers from the pandemic. |

It is normal to down 20% to 30%,my buddy too.., last deep red i was down 45% in 2018,, trade war,, but now i am up at a high of close to 6X,, now i am down to slighlty more than 4X, come the future u ,, u will know it is normal.. nothing to worry,, be assured, |

Hope you are feeling better.
AAPL seems pretty attractive at 119/120 region, agree this is a no brainer stock for long term. I bought some VIAC, it got sold down same a disck yesterday. Do you have any thoughts about NIO? Seems quite good price to add at this level, got sold down due to the announcement of plant shutdown due to shortage of semiconductor chips.

Fund manager and inst manager are emotional animal too like us, They do panic sell and cause more red days, But how much and how many of them sell if they are done, that is when mkt bottom and the trend reversal are gg to be powerful, Dont sell and stay vested then yr losses is momentarily and superficial. So lately the market has been going down and people might have gotten some bloody days in their portfolios. The correction has affected tech the most as the Nasdaq is about 8% from its all time highs.The correction has happened because of number one: Rising treasury yields and number two: Sector rotation. Reopening plays are currently the trend that big money likes and money has gone there recently. This does not mean that tech is bad in the long term. Stocks go down sometimes and this is the moment that it is happening it is part of the whole, Nothing to worry. But there is a silver lining to this story... This gives us a good opportunity get your favourite stocks at a cheaper price. Averaging down is a very delightful thing to do and this is a perfect opportunity. And even if we continue to go down, it is ok, since you can average down even more. Another thing that I want to say is that you should not listen to the media too much. It their job to create havoc and drama in the stock market. Their opinions change every week almost, and it kind of funny sometimes. One week they say that you should not sell and another day CNBC reporters tell us how big tech is in a bad place and you should move to industrials, travel, etc. You have YOUR own plan. Do your plan and dont listen to those whose job is to dramatize things. The stock market needs patience. Investing is for the long run. Dont look at the 1 day or weekly or even whatever chart all the time. It can be very toxic for yourself, especially during a red day. So just chill and remember that your time horizon is in 10 years, not tomorrow. That my 2 cents, have good one everyone! |
