x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Albert Einstein once worked out the answers for 10 math questions. He got the first 9 right, but nobody applauded him. For the last question, he purposely made a mistake - Everyone pointed that out to him and laughed. It became the talk of the town for that week, especially since he was considered THE GENIUS of the century. Moral: People will always remember your mistakes.  Shen Yao made the right bets to go into hedge funds and real estate analytics for long term growth. But they may not have been the best persons to oversee mining operations given their backgrd - Hiring someone expert in that area may be limited in its help since without knowledge, the chairman himself cannot have full understanding. But time will give the experience. Similar to what Aksa has said, luckily operations did not stop. More importantly, no one died. This will serve to strengthen their experience in managing gold mines.  Others may not give Shen Yao a chance, but I would, despite this " mistake" .

They don' t care whether company makes money or not, as long as work is easy and they get their paycheck every month. Now, they are the owners and employees at the same time. If you are the boss, would you want to keep those who do not want to work harder and earn money for the company? Would you reward loyal but lazy employees, or hardworking and aspirational employees who may not be as loyal? x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The bad news had been out for almost 2 weeks, with earlier news in the months before. This could have possibly contributed to the drop in share price. Regardless, after such an extended period of time, I would reckon all these negative sentiments had already been factored into the current price (that was why the constant drop). Why it go lower? Maybe, maybe not. Because now with new management, they will have new network of investors and believers - And hopefully, Mr Yao is convincing enough to get them to pour in and contribute financially. His forte was in finance, hence they set up Plutus Mazu. This was necessary in order for him and his team to leverage on their strengths.  In time to come, I would foresee Plutus Mazu and the Real Estate analytics overtaking gold mining as the core business. Together, they would likely profile their company as a wealth management company. And what he is doing is literally vertical integration, unlike what we see from Aviva, Prudential, those big insurance companies. When they invest, they buy not just into the stock or funds of that company, but they literally dabble their hands in it. This again takes time as they need to build up experience.  All those above are assumptions and the vision that I see Shen Yao moving towards. However, it will take time and patience - Biting off more than they can chew so quickly will result in choking. Let' s see how they will manage this...

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	In hindsight, we don' t have to be too worried about this. Australia has very strict workplace safety requirements. In fact, our Singapore workplace safety and health concept was adopted from Australia' s practice. Mine accidents are common. You can google this. Not that it is an excuse, but accidents happen at workplace frequently in many other sectors as well. A case in point would be manufacturing where workers are injured by machines, but it does not affect operations much. In fact, without any deaths, this accident serves to strengthen management' s experience.  The high turnover of staff is expected with new management. When new management takes charge of a company that had been in debt and mismanaged, the old birds who are usually the cause of the problems need to be re-educated, and failing which, to be removed. I believe this is also the reason why the company is diversifying - For a simple reason to minimise risks.  The chairman has worked hard to source for new business in new areas. He has looked at restructuring the mining company which is their subsidiary. This shakeup was necessary in my opinion to turn the business around. It shows positive action - Except that there was an unintended effect of a gap in expertise for a period while operations had to continue to ensure continued profitability.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	If you ask me, everyone wants to see results, but it takes time. To fulfil expectations, this is what happens - Double the drilling and development, etc... Resulting in greater risks when corresponding works do not catch up fast enough.... Hopefully everyone can tone their expectations and let the developments progress gradually at a comfortable pace. If not, the company will bite off more than it can chew.... I don' t expect this to rocket up, but I do see potential if managed properly without the constant expectations of rocketing up.

They company business is still very solid, why still come down?
