wowow .....NEW HIGH for all 3 banks today DBS 35.87 UOB 29.60 OCBC 12.30 ( honestly I think OCBC may still hv room to move up ....DYODD) USA bank results season starting Happy investing.

yes at 1.32 per yr ...and at $35, DBS yield is 3.8% .....still reasonable for a great bank Anyway , expecting a gd full yr result and possibility of something extra ? Dyodd

DBS just hit a new hight $35.55 today ....a cool $6+ more than UOB ( 29.28 ) DBS is now trading at approx 1.6X its book ....no wonder those shouting $40 are back . LOL For STI to go 3300/3500 this year....our banks esp OCBC (1.05X) and UOB ( 1.17X) do have more room to go . Awaiting hopefully for better dividend payment wk Feb 14/18 Dyodd |

Bro , Honestly I doubt this will even cause any ripple in OCBC business. Their main controbution are still from their Weath mgt , Ins and Southern China. deposits are the big big from old business that are important ( retail are too small lah) . Rich chinese fm Indo and Msia are loyal big OCBC client ( like UOB) ...is X$M ....lol not those small retail below this figure. Further looking at the rise over the last few weeks where OCBC breaks the $12 at super high vol of 6.6M today .... where do yu think this FUND will sell ? ( yr guess is as good as mine) Good Luck DYODD

Bro , the reason is OCBC is more diluted than UOB w more scrips ....its book value is only 11.49 vs UOB 25.06 However, within the next 3 mths ...potential for OCBC to see $13 and UOB $30 if they exceed the expected dividend mid Feb result DYODD Happy investing

OCBC , since the digestion of WH Bank and the change of CEO has not make any aggressive move. New CEO is just on board for less than a yr ....not forgetting her vast experience from HK/knowing the Pearl River Delta financial mkt well. Insurance arm GE also has much to grow there. ( will it b taken private ? lol ) Its AUM is growing v well w Bank of Spore pushing this forward. Wld not be surprise when actions come fast . Currently trading at just over 1X book value ( 11.49) ...it is one of the cheapest bank. 50c dividend annually is view as much lower then DBS n UOB ..but a GOOG 4.34% yield at $11.50 price. I am just awaiting patiently for OCBC nex action ...and even the potential of a special dividend. DYODD Happy investing.
