comparatively, tuan sing has been more talked about? fragrance boss has a stake, Harvard Chi of Quarz also bought and talked about it publicly. Singholdings the underdog tends to really outperform when they do but most of the time they are more sleepy. wheelock received a lowball privatisation offer at $2.10 today. Mr Market is paying $2.14 to $2.16 for it today signalling that the $2.10 offer at 0.80x book value is too low. let' s see how much wheelock ultimately pays and that may be a guide for possible privatisation price for this stock.

I feel that Sing Holdings is a very good privatisation candidate. More so because nobody talks about it. So I am camping here, holding, and collecting decent dividend, while this stock is still trading at steep discount to book value. |

No lah, wont give up so easily. Still fully loaded here. The stock is still good. But we cant help it as market players are all hibernating. And SGX is still very busy promoting derivatives only.

indeed. other possible reasons could be because of seller bought on margin and has to sell. they are likely to pay a much bigger dividend upon the TOP which is in late 2020/2021. patience needed indeed but for long term investors, its considered not that far away already. haha.

Difficult to understand each investors' motivation. Every buyer has a seller. If the fundamentals are sound, go in and keep aside until true value shows. I have been accumulating more and more SH as I like their asset (landbank) strategy which seemed sound in today' s times. Wish Company reward shareholders better. Patience probably needed here as it has a very conservative approach but think this is definitely one of the stronger small developer (compared with the asset accumulation costs and debt level of its peers). Remarks : Sharing. Pls DYODD before buying. Nothing guaranteed in the stock market.
