The Sembmarine rights issue is heavily discounted at S$0.08 per share - a 35.7 per cent discount to the theoretical ex-rights price and a 58.1 per cent discount to the counter's Wednesday close. It also comes not long after a S$2.1 billion rights issue last year.

So next few weeks it will be shortists via value investor bartering at carousell style depressed pricing. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Every 2 shares you got on hand, you can buy another 3 rights @ 0.08. So if your 2 shares is priced at 0.191c + fully subscribe 3 rights at 0.08c =  (2shares x 0.191c) + (3rights x 0.08c) / 2 = 0.124c. This is how the 0.124c is being calculated. If after Ex Rights, if the price is above 0.124, for those that buy 0.191 and below, we will get back our base price(of cause not yet minus commission, here and there). So if your current shares is purchased above 0.191c, then you will need higher than 0.124c to recover. I think many of the SH whom previously received the free shares, many would have already sold their position. Over this period, i guess many of SH actually spend their money to purchase the current shares at 0.191c and above which they have on hand. Last Friday sell down, are mostly panic SH whom are concern of the next outcome and SH whom given up due to lack of confident and decided to cut their losses. 1b of shares exchanged hand on Friday(including many shorts whom just taking advantage of the current situation). I guess this topic have become the hottest topic in this forum. If you have purchased above 0.191c, selling off now, you will incurred losses. So many still hopes that after subscribe to the rights, the price will fly above the 0.124c. It would make no sense for TH to take all remaining rights at 0.08c and let the price be at this range or roll below that because if that is the case, might as well invest this money else where for better return? There might be a plan for better recovery! Lets hope all turns out well! SCM will be looking to merge with KC! For those that still got holding on hand, whatever you read from here are just different opinion from different people. So just work it out yourself and decide what is best for your next action! Their anxiety till September for the Rights issue to be over, and then to wait for the results of the merger can be psychological destructive for existing shareholders. Pray for divine intervention to keep your sanity.

As far as I know, they can only sell their entitlement during the 2 weeks when the entitlement starts trading, but not subscribe. SGX shows can subscribe only under certain conditions, but never list them. Check with your broker.
