Well the top management CEO and COO all got replaced and this time look like they focus heavily on driving profitability on sg business rather than expansion oversea. Anyway it the big boss genting grp that wanna squeeze money to reduce debt. Japan and thailand casino all got shoot down by new government so no need to had excess cash. |

Recall at past AGMs, shareholders have questioned and they always say will reserve for the upcoming constructions, etc. Not sure if that' s the directive of the former CEO and if the boss can be more aggressive with its capital management strategies to increase returns to shareholders and also undertake debt to drive those expansion plans.

Had to wait for GENS to increased dividend before stock move up. it either capital reduction or increased dividend for short term boost to stock price. financial result just sustained profitability not great but ok. Leaving $3b + lying around doing nothing is a waste of resource. |

It a short covering rally as currently no retail interest in sgx that why MAS inject $5b to boost stock. No retail investors in sight as everyone wait to see how $5b would be deployed. GENS would continue it slow climb till year end correspond to current STI level. |
