Yeah, that' s right, Bio' s core strength is in their cancer research and the diagnostic solutions. Believe they are well known in China as cancer is the leading cause of death in the nation. They hv in fact teamed up with China' s LC-Bio to develop, test and market one of their complementary project/product. In addition to what Lauren quoted about its trading performance in China, the following extract is from our SGX ' market updates' released on 29 July: " SGX lists more than 180 stocks with over 10% revenue exposure to China. Among this group, 10 of the most actively traded stocks outside of the STI saw month-to-date returns of 11% in July 2020. The three best performers of these 10 stocks in the July 2020 month to date were Biolidics, Frencken Group and Hi-P International. Together, they averaged 30% total returns in July month-to-date." Believe that if China investors can see value in Bio, likely matter of time our locals will catch up. Just opinion and to share info with anyone interested.

They are not in same type of business as the bullish counters (UG and MT usual suspects). Actually cannot compare. So have to prepare mind accordingly. There are 2 types of medical counters: 1. The medical item suppliers eg UG, Medtecs, RS, TG. These are producing actual things that you can touch, buy, and sell. There are $$$ generated from these items and we can count the profit. The reality is, the profits are going to be high, so the price moves up accordingly. Very simple. 2. The medical research business like Biolidics, Trendlines, eDev. These are not producing but are researching for future products. Since the business is not as tangible, the price will move based on news (results of progress of research, new deals, new approvals, etc) and also on momentum (FOMO crowd). So in this sense, the price will not move up in a relatively regular way like the medical supply companies, but will be in shortbursts. As such, if invested in this, need to cultivate patience as durians are still in order, or still on the tree. Not yet right in front (unlike the medical supply stocks where durians are there, can be counted). Personally, I think there is scope for both of them, and personally I am overweighting the medical suppliers for the moment because their reality has already arrived today, in our world.

i am also looking forward to releasing of sales figures. Agree with you, JY has good track records too and was quite professional in handling all the queries.Trust the company to be under good hands. All we need is figures. In fact, when SGX released the results of top performers in China, and that include Biolidics, My confidence level for the company rises. China is a big market as we all know, a soaring economy. | ||||

No choice, just got to believe it, but think it' s downside at this price is quite limited, imo. Upside potential can be huge, but need time to materialise. Hoping for quick returns, esp by contra players, can be quite disappointing, as recent queries by sgx and the prof, could have dampened investors' interest to cause them to shun from this counter. Imo, their queries were unnecessarily overdone, and could be damaging to Bio' s pricing, but whatodo. Hopefully just for the short term only. JY reply was very prompt and proper to the dot, and am quite impressed with his answers. Coming 1H result is just 3 days away, if based on last yr' s release. Think there shd be some indication of their progress, etc. If the result is positive, price likely to move up to 43 and higher. Anyway just sharing info and opinion.

ya. because it has the other core business and does not only rely on Covid. That is why i am willing to Hold and wait it out. If you have the holding power, i think is Okay. if you do not have i think it is ok to cut loss too.
