 Alert Admin 		DBS' market cap stands at $94.4bln and currently trades at 13.6x forward PE and 1.6x PB. Dividend yield stands at 2.8% and consensus target price is at $38.41, representing 5.3% upside from current share price.
DBS valuations has torn ahead of its peers OCBC and UOB and despite the rising interest rate environment, we think that investors should only ACCUMULATE ON WEAKNESS or consider OCBC/UOB to take advantage of the hawkish environment.

With oil prices on the uptrend, investors are keeping a close watch on the oil giants of the Middle East &mdash especially Saudi Arabia&rsquo s leaders. Over the weekend, the world' s most valuable oil company tipped its hand on a multi-billion dollar deal that may land in Singapore. 
Saudi Aramco  is looking to sell as much as a US$50 billion ($67 billion) stake, or 2.5% of the company, and has held talks on selling the additional shares on the Riyadh stock exchange and a secondary listing, possibly in London or Singapore, reported  The Wall Street Journal  on Feb 4. 
The listing of shares would mark the largest in the history of capital markets, breaking a record set by the company itself. Aramco was behind the world&rsquo s largest initial public offering in 2019 when it raised US$29.4 billion on the Saudi stock exchange. Even so, the record-smashing IPO listed just 1.5% of the company, a scaled-back iteration of the original plan to list 5% of the company for up to US$100 billion. 
Both Aramco and the  Singapore Exchange (SGX)  have so far declined to comment on the  WSJ  report.

  • Singapore&rsquo s listed banking trios have outperformed the STI so far, posting an average total returns of 10% YTD on the back of S$1.0 billion net institutional inflows. Potential rate hike cycle in focus, acting as tailwinds for banks&rsquo stock performances.
     
  • The Banks trios historical stock performances largely mirrored previous rate cycles, with an average 35% gains in the last rate hike cycle (2017-2018). Expectations of a new cycle have lifted stock performances in the past two months.
     
  • Upcoming FY2021 results announcement coming in mid Febuary. Expect investors&rsquo focus on the trajectory of net-interest income (NII), loan growth amidst re-opening of regional economies and fees income
