Uber/Grab have sophisticated investors who are looking 5 to 10 years ahead with ROI the likes of Facebook, Amazon and Alibaba and don' t mind burning tons of cash along the way. CDG have retail/pension fund investors who are looking towards their dividends next quarter/half year interims. Although they having been taking efforts to reduce rental and come out with different package for the taxi Drivers. But the reducing of rental and incentives still not significant enough to compete with uber. Just my opinion.
