Short sell orders(volume & value) is different from short positions. Short sell orders don' t necessarily reflect the outstanding short positions. Short sell must be covered the same day if traders don' t have any SBL or brokerage firm' s agreement. With SBL or this agreement,  short sell will be reported as outstanding short positions if not covered within two trading days from the date of short sell. My broker help me get access to and see aggregrated/outstanding short positions data which provide more transparency than short sell. Pls note that anyone don' t need to know the source according to my broker. pasttime      ( Date: 10-Dec-2020 20:40) Posted: shorts are really net zero transactions as each will have to be purchase back. the good thing about sgx is it provide this short position. the bad thing is it is half an information as it did not tell if these are open short or short of the day. sgx information has a lot of holes. including wrong and outdated information on number of shares etc on their own web site. wonder if they will ever have to ansewer to these mis information when someone use it for investment. like semb marine it makes a lot of different about how may shares are issue.
