LOL.....45 came earlier than expected. Even without sbb, as Echoes said, what will be the price after results out? Especially, if results very good and special dividend announced.

DBS Q4 results release is on 10 Feb so this week will be the last week that they are allowed to do share buybacks before the black out period . So, I think that they will not buy anymore till after the results . That said , its share price is still well supported even without buybacks . I wonder what the share price will be after the results ..................

the quantum is the same, it remains at 3B sbb, so dbs needs only to buy more should it go for split, and it has never split b4. but tbh, the rise since the 3 q earnings, has been nothing short of spectacular, but i ain complaining, lol

The last buyback was Dec 17 and none since . I find it kinda strange , sometimes buyback in large volumes sometimes none . Black out period coming soon ( one month before release of Q4 results ) so I wont be surprised that there will be no more buybacks until after the Q4 results release . That aside , OCBC has started buybacks this new year at about 300 lots daily . But they do it for a different reason - for giving staff as share options and not for cancellation . Of the 3 big boys , OCBC conducts the most buybacks as they do it quite regularly . |

tomorrow being last trading day of the year, reckon the funds and all institutional bbs will partake in the window dressing so as to make their books look fabulous. dbs being the dragon head of sgx, my take is it will close high pls dyodd, my opinion only. |

Today is weird. Whole day low volume. At 5pm only around 800k units done & price was 43.66. Matching time price got pushed up by 19c & more than 1.5m units changed hands. |

Dont think so share buyback if I remember correctly under SGX rules cannot be more than 30% of total volume . Todays volume only 2.4m shares so 1.5m would have been more than 50% . |
