Erm ya true in some sense. But share price is subjective. If sp goes down he can received cash and still holding he share. If the sp goes over the strike price before deadline he might have temporary gain first. Unless he sells all his share which is above the strike price by then. Otherwise sp can continue to grow or fall back below the strike price. So it is still subjective

Folks, I am not really sure why so many people are puzzled over the strike price part of the settlement. It is really simple. CEO has not much to lose in making such an settlement agreement. The conspiracy theory about JL wanting to punish Tj by intentionally pushing down the price - does not stand on its feet. Don' t forget JL do hold 46m shares in AMAL - does he really want to push the price down. He' s a shrew businessman afterall. Illustration. If I owe & am supposed to pay someone $100. I propose to pay him $50 in cash and $50 in shares (10 shares@$5) - which he cannot sell immediately. The current price of the stock is $2 and I agree to cover the difference if the stock price do not reach $5 by end of year. Scenario 1 - by end of year, stock price is $5 or more. All good. I pays $50 in cash and $50 in stock ($20 from original stock, $30 from gain in stock) Scenario 2 - by end of year, stock price is still $2. I pays $50 in cash, $20 in stock, another $30 in cash - which is what I was supposed to pay anyway if there' s no agreement on strike price. But I delay $30 payment until end of the year, better cashflow. IMHO, that personal saga is nothing but personal and does not really impact the business at all. All Tj needs to do is to continue to drive the business properly and make sure that ultimately the SP rises - which is what all businessman will want anyway. Don' t spend too much time pondering over it - not worth your brain cells. It is just a side show that distracts everyone. Focus on the business. As long as AMAL/TAW delivers the shipment to Burwill and generate the revenue and profits, the share price will recover and scale new heights.

Hi amlithiumpower, Good to see you back here and below are my thoughts, posted yesterday,  regarding AMAL in discussion with Burwill HL: 1)AMAL shares swap with Burwill ll H:HL to own 25 percent of BCL JV with Jiangte Mining (50%) 2)Alternatively, AMAL use the final offtake prepayment as payment to own 25 percent of BCL JV with Jiangte Mining (50%). 3) Shares placement to Burwill holdings Limited. (The Company is currently evaluating various funding options both equity and debt& hellip ) 4) Tantalum offtake agreement?

The question is how will T worm his way out of the consequences of the agreement with JL?   It' s quite a tight corner he' s painted himself into.   Any ideas?   Placements may damage the price which is not what he wants right now as AMA' s price is somewhat subdued, and it might take some courage on Burwill' s part to invest at a higher price than currently.   | ||||

Hi Redeye and Atom Bros, sorry for being away for so Long. Its been some times since AM surge from sub 10c to record high of 40c plus. Those who have been long enough with this counter will know the history of the trading pattern of this counter. Remember the Temasek talk, hedge fund habourasia etc till now Rumour of Burwill potential talking into a separate agreement of taking an equity stake. If trading AM can be make into a movie, I think it will be a blockbuster. Let me interpret the whole situation here. Jonathan has part A of the deal, he had seized a huge chunk of shares from CEO for the payment of $7m and part c is the difference of 50c and the market price by 24 oct 17. I see 2 camps here - Jonathan VS CEO. Jonathan want the share price to be as Low as possible so he could earn the difference in part c. Meanwhile, Low share price means he can sell or transfer more shares in part b of the deal. Fundamentally, Jonathan can do this because the company is good. If it' s a shitty company, he won' t give a damn to seize the shares right. However, our CEO also not stupid too. These few months he must be thinking ways how to fight Jonathan to regain control of his shares back without losing a lot of money. The only possible way (maybe there are others) is to get external help. Burwill will be an ideal candidate. With the latest lithium development in China, I think Burwill will be interested in the overall proposal of CEOs deal. And I' m second guessing that CEO wants Burwill to help to pop up the share price by 24 oct and he can assist by the side by releasing vital info that can revalue the sp. Sounds interesting? Perhaps Bros Redeye, atom and any like minded Bros can give an input into this possible scenario? Just some random thoughts of mine and please DYODD

The EW formation is out. Below is theory of Elliott wave. Pls don't bombard me because I have a different view. I just want to share. EW mini 210-235-220-265-250-270-abc. The above is EW main wave1 EW main 210-W1:270? W2 coming. W2=270-(270-210)*61.8%=232.92 I hope I am wrong and it continues uptrend. But to continue, it has to correct. After W2 end, this is the one I am waiting for. W3 is 161.8% of W1 So be prepared for the correct to go higher. Pls trade with care.

BYD predicts ambitious China shift to electric cars by 2030
3 MIN READ

SHENZHEN (Reuters) - Chinese automaker BYD Co Ltd (002594.SZ) expects the country&rsquo s shift to cleaner new-energy vehicles (NEV) to be complete in just over a decade, an aggressive timeframe that would challenge traditional carmakers in the world&rsquo top auto market. All vehicles in the country will be &ldquo electrified&rdquo by 2030, which could range from full electric cars to mild hybrids, BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu said on Thursday. BYD, backed by Warren Buffett, has already invested heavily in the NEV market. Carmakers around the world are grappling with government plans to shift away from petrol engine cars to newer, less polluting technologies - a trend that is creating one of the most seismic shifts the automotive industry has gone through. Earlier this month, a senior Chinese official said the country had begun studying when to ban the production and sale of cars using traditional fuels, without giving a timeframe for the shift. The United Kingdom and France have said they will ban new petrol and diesel cars from 2040.
&ldquo We are very confident about all the timetables (to eliminate fossil fuel cars) and we think it will happen earlier than expected,&rdquo Wang said at an event in Shenzhen. &ldquo Various governments have announced timetables to end the sale of fossil fuel cars and this is putting pressure on everyone else.&rdquo China has set goals for electric and plug-in hybrid cars to make up at least a fifth of its auto sales by 2025 in a bid to combat air pollution and close a competitive gap between its newer domestic automakers and their global rivals.
&ldquo It&rsquo s certainly possible for all cars an automaker sells in China and around the world to be electrified in some way by 2030,&rdquo said James Chao, Shanghai-based Asia-Pacific head of consultancy IHS Markit Automotive. Others have been less optimistic about the pace of the industry&rsquo s shift to electric cars.
This month, General Motor Co&rsquo s (GM.N) CEO said during a visit to China that the shift to NEVs would only work with continued government support and that consumers should be the ones driving demand rather than government mandate. However, China is phasing out subsidies that have supported makers of NEVs like BYD, leading to a sharp fall in profits for the firm so far this year.

Global carmakers have also called on China to soften &ldquo impossible&rdquo targets for NEVs, which require firms to sell electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles to generate &lsquo credits&rsquo equivalent to 8 percent of total sales by next year. Wang added that 20 cities in China would start building BYD sky rail transport systems next year, amid a push by the firm to diversify away from cars alone. Its first sky rail project was launched in the northwestern city of Yinchuan this month. To be honest, it took me alot of faith at that low level. But managed to increase holdings by 50%. Selling was never the question, only thing on my mind is whether to buy more.

Think you and I must have been competing for lots around 22c. I was enjoying gathering more at 22c. Still would like to grab some more at that SP. Agree...it all patience for Q1 2018.

Just so clear, what did AMAL close at today? Was that above or below 25c? Confused as is it not a foregone conclusion that the so powerful shortists are controlling the SP and it must certainly close below 25c right? I watched and watched but am I reading it wrong. Please enlighten us on your prediction to fact.
