x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	You must have understand what' s in the minds of most Singaporeans. Many of them are busying working to meet ends meat or fulfiling their luxury lifestyles. Moreover, laws have passed to prevent protests/demostrations, etc.  This is a prisoner dilemma theory at work.  Who wants to be the first person to go to the street to protest any govt' s policy? Once you are arrested, you will lose your job, followed by your house (if you still have outstanding loan), etc. You have too much to lose.  Ask around your friends, colleagues, etc on fighting for real democracy, civil rights, etc, they will tell that you have nothing to do. Serve your right to go into prison. On top of that, around 40% of the population is new citizens / PRs, the primary reason to come to down is for stability, making money, and so forth. Difficult for most people considering that their properties will be near to zero value when they say goodbye. This is not what it should be in our (Chinese) culture. Generations in our family should become more and more wealthy and not worse off. HK people have already lost their heads. When they finally call off their protests and go home, they will find that they have achieved nothing. Life will be tough for them. Property prices might go down but they will still be unable to buy them because HK is going to enter a period of prolonged recession. I grew up learning that HK people were extremely hardworking people and didn't care about politics and many have made it that way. But now it is different with the young generations. They deserve to suffer
