x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think there' s no harm carrying both products. Both types of testings are useful in their own ways. It is all about how should each test be used.  Fundamentally, PCR testing although is the gold standard, is too costly if a country wants to screen all inboard visitors or returning residents after a coordinated opening of border regionally and bilaterally. Govt would not want to bear the cost, taking into consideration SG is an aviation hub and repeated testings may be required as we can be infected after intial testing. If testing is manatory and only expensive PCR testing is allowed, tourists would be discouraged to come to SG and impacts on tourism and aviation sector will be prolonged. It seems like one company cannot be distributing two types of product belonging to the same product class. It is wise to terminate the existing one from China. And if they can take on Epidax instead, this is a better choice. Firstly it is a Singapore product (Easier to gain inroads into USA) and secondly the result is out after one hour. I may buy some tmr if there is buying trend. Scared to buy this. Biolidics' s corporate announcement The Company understands that there is currently no EUA authorised serology tests which could be used outside of the laboratory or clinical settings in the US market. The Company believes offering a serology test kit with broader use and applications outside the laboratory or clinical settings (for example, by individuals at home) in the US market may present a better commercial opportunity for the Company compared to the current COVID-19 Antibody Test Kits, which are meant for use in only in laboratories or by healthcare workers at the point-of-care. Epidax seems to match the description in corporate announcement - " broad use and application outside the laboratory and clinical setting" " Our Epidax system is a unique microfluidic chip-based diagnostic system that can conduct PCR tests on-site for the rapid screening of infection, whether it is at a local clinic, a nursing home or the airport."
