The purchase of multi million Shell' s Spore petrochemical assets and latest acquisition of Exxon Mobil' s petrol stations reflects Chandra Asri' s ambition to diversify into the region and its financial muscles. It is certain that Chandra Asri will eye more acquisitions and expand its empire. Compared to the value of the above two acquisitions, the giant' s stake of 11.9% of Hiap Seng is a drop in the ocean both in terms of percent and value. It looks they have got great plans for Hiap Seng . Who knows, Hiap Seng might turn into the darling of 2026 in my personal view. | ||||

Meanwhile, the acquisition gives Chandra Asri a chance to enhance efficiency in retail operations and improve its position in downstream energy logistics.
"Strategically, following the group?s earlier acquisition of Shell?s operations in Singapore, this move could expand its regional footprint and pave the way for diversification into new energy businesses by 2050," the Nanyang Business School spokesperson said. On the other hand, Chandra Asri wants to establish its presence here. "They're saying hey, we are becoming big ... Singapore is a major place for us, we've got the Shell refinery," said Mr Doshi. In one stroke, they are going to take over a string of around 60 stations, he noted. "They are on the upswing in the region, whereas Exxon is rationalising its global operations. Previous round 1m bought 29 sold 31. This round 1m 29 sold 33 .....both time all payup...today outside...use hp cant see much so saw 33 just sell la...another day fight again...this stock has the range 28 - 33.maybe change higher this round...lets see | ||||
