We must acknowledge that technology has given rise to vast structural unemployment, with a pivot from typical 9-5 labour market to the current gig economy powered by technology and mobile applications When there are no good jobs available, the younger generations these days are willing to move away from the typical 9-5 labour market There are so full-time youtubers, content creators, live-stream selling, grab driver, food delivery in today' s economy - even a durian seller makes more money than someone working in an international MNC Meanwhile, self-employed individuals are also able to leverage on technology to drive business goals - look at PropertyLimBrothers Ultimately, the overall very high employment numbers (9-5 labour market + gig economy) ensures that demand for goods and services will remain hot for a sustained period of time We can, and should be more confident about the future

People keep saying recession..... but in reality it is not. The recession will only start if a lot of people losing thier jobs and couldn' t find the next one in 6 months or longer. The latest job report in the US said that the labor market is still damn solid despite high inflation and interest rate. The same story goes to Singapore. The labor market in Singapore is very tight. Many positions unfilled. Many businesses have to raise wages to attract workers, etc. Forget about inflation. Look at employment number is the real key factor to recession. Until you see a sharp rise in unemployment, there won' t be recession. The latest job report will continue to lead the Fed to hike interest rate. We will see 5-6% Fed-fund rate next year. If even 5-6% dooesn' t cause employmennt data to shake, the Fed will continue to raise rate to 7-8% eventually. |

who knows if battery as store of energy for ev will be the prefer mode in future. green hydrogen + fuel cell can be a better alternative when green hydrogen becomes economically viable. |

he is in the process of monetising his shares. whatever reason he gave, asking others to sell or not, pay tax, buy this buy that is just a show to make beleive that he is not giving up on tesla. in fact do not think he has. just that at some point he will need to convert shares to cash and that in progress. will tesla or byd continue to be in pole position of ev? more and more established ice manufacturer is going into ev. ford has lead in their mustang, gm is going into ev, porsche and mercedes etc , the road is now more crowded. |
