Having said what I posted earlier on, AlphaDX needs more exposure. They must create awareness, publicity, thru media or what not. Take yesterday Zoom Presentation for example, if not for one brother who sound us out, we would have missed this event. Must generate interest first. The trading volume will follow. Far too few people know what they are doing right now. |

Thanks to the Zoom Presentation yesterday. I like their business model. If everything go according to plan.....indeed we can see a very bright future. Yesterday and today I added, little by little, nearing 200 lots now. Hope can recuperate the big lost (was holding close to 7 m units then) incurred during Alpha Energy' s time. Alpha DX to manage and establish university in Uzbekistan via a joint ventureLearning solutions company Alpha DX said on Wednesday that it will, together with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary-Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MHSSE) be injecting some US$50 million into a joint venture (JV) for the development and growth of a university in Uzbekistan.This is the company' s first public and private partnership, and is part of an memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the company and MHSSE. Under the MOU, Alpha and MHSSE will establish a joint venture with the primary purpose of establishing and managing the the Asnaro University of Uzbekistan (AUU), a university that will be fully integrated with the ubiquitous learning platform developed by Alpha DX' s subsidiaries. The scope of the joint venture may in future be expanded to include the transformation of the entire public education system of Uzbekistan, said the company in a bourse filing. Scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2022, AUU will have two campuses in Uzbekistan with the main campus located in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, and the second campus located in Andijan, the administrative, economic and cultural centre of Andijan Region. Alpha DX' s chief executive Daiji Yamada in a statement that he expects the JV to help facilitate the development of the company' s existing pipeline of project opportunities and prospective projects for further diversification and growth. Formerly known as Alpha Energy, the group transformed itself in January 2021 with fund raising and restructuring initiatives under the leadership of technology and financial veterans in the learning and education industry. Shares of AlphaDX ended Wednesday at 33.5 Singapore cents, up three cents or 9.8 per cent. |

Alpha DX signs MOU with Uzbekistan government to develop learning platform for new universityAlpha DX Group, via its wholly-owned subsidiary ZioNext, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on August 24 with the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop a learning platform for Asnaro University of Uzbekistan (AUU).Pursuant to the MOU, details of the partnership will be hammered out in definitive agreements to be entered into by ZioNext and Uzbekistan' s Ministry of Higher and Secondary-Specialized Education. Under the principles set out in the MOU, ZioNext will design and implement a digital learning platform for AUU, which includes the digitization of all program contents, designing digital learning tools for students and implementing an AI-integrated learning management system. AlphaDX will also provide training and coaching for students and lecturers. AUU, a new university, is scheduled to open in 3Q2022. Alpha DX is targeting to roll out the system by Sep 1, 2022. Alpha DX' s CEO, Daiji Yamada, says, " Since the COVID-19 outbreak, remote-learning through various online digital learning technologies has become more centric among students so as to ensure that their learning journey are not disrupted. As such, remote-learning has become an integral part of the current curriculums for all schools particularly among secondary and post-secondary schools globally." " Combining our core capabilities in advance digital learning technologies and applications with our global network of education institutions, we look forward to working with the Republic of Uzbekistan to empower their future generations to obtain high-quality tertiary education via a more accessible learning platform," he adds. As at 1.32pm, shares in Alpha DX are trading flat at 30.5 cents. |

PUBLISHEDAUG 10, 2021, 7:10 AM SGT BENGALURU (BLOOMBERG) - UpGrad has raised US$185 million (S$251 million) from Temasek and other investors over a span of a few months this year, garnering a valuation of US$1.2 billion that ranks it as India' s third-largest edtech unicorn. The higher education start-up doubled in valuation within 60 days of its first financing round of US$120 million from Temasek, later adding another US$65 million from latest backers International Finance Corporation and India' s IIFL. In a release, the start-up referenced but did not confirm Indian media reports it is now in discussions to raise US$400 million at a US$4 billion valuation. India' s education start-ups are riding an upswell of demand during the Covid-19 pandemic that has buoyed leader Byju' s and smaller rivals like Unacademy and UpGrad. Dozens of start-ups have closed funding rounds from global investors betting on Indian-built start-ups going international. ADVERTISING " We are very focused on our path to being in the top 3-5 companies globally in EdTech and serve the one billion workforce across the age group of 18 to 60 years," UpGrad' s chairman and co-founder Ronnie Screwvala said in a statement. The start-up will announce more acquisitions shortly, he said. The 64-year-old Mumbai-based entrepreneur pioneered cable television in India in the 1980s, then built a unicorn acquired by Walt Disney. UpGrad, his latest venture, was established in 2015. At an annual revenue run rate of more than US$165 million, UpGrad said in April it will use the capital to scale up in overseas markets, make acquisitions, expand its graduate degree portfolio and launch an app to offer everything from masters classes to soft skills training. Mr Screwvala had said sales would double every year and the firm is targeting US$2 billion in revenue by 2026.
