If u hold it and didnt sell, Based on todays price, 2.31 x 4 = it would have been $9.24 for you , if you hold 1 lot ( 1000shares). Sometimes, no need to react to everything , just hold will be ok. Just saying.

Tq for the update. I' m more for the dividend payout,.. prior to the split, the dpu was 38.40c. After a split from 1-to-4, theoretically, the divdiend payout amt would be divided by 4 too. Hence, the ' new' dpu payout = 9.6c. At a closing price today of $2.39, this works out to a yield of ONLY 4%. Not so attractive anymore,.....And moving forward, will the dpu payout be sustainable anymore ?

No, I just checked it, i have gotten the dividend already because i bought before the ex date :) Anyway this is good stock ! on rocket ! Split share already will be even better, becos it will be even more liquidable.

Bro,... Due to the AGM that was conducted late this year, the approval was delayed. The New XDate was on April 29... The New Payout Date was on June 5th... However, you bought on May 21st. which was after he XDate. Hence,... you may not get dividends for units you bought after the XDate.

I heard this is high above its PB/V by now,... I sold at $9.00 just now,... and may queue to buyback after the split,... May be able to get back at at ' a lower price after accounting for the split' . Profitted 51.XX%. Frankly,... jmho,.. our govt is pushing for Electric Vehicles (recall incentives from Budget 2020 presented in Feb or Mar this year). Will EVs need inspection too,... or what other services will EVs need from Vicom ?

I echo this sentiment too,... and I have been watching this since the first ann' t of the stock split back in February. Have been buying-up since my last posting in this thread. Anybody holding this shrea by 5 pm on come-Tuesday will be entitled to the split shares. If the final price that Vicom reaches at mkt close on TUesday is, say,... conservatively,... $9.50,... then the TESP (Theoretical Ex-Splits Price) at mkt open on Friday at 9 am would be $2.38. Anything higher than this upon opening will be paper profit to the holder ! All the best to all,...

There is of course 2 things you can do now. Buy now or buy later. There is no telling that the stock will drop or go up after the stock has split, but a stock split does often indicate to the market that the company has been growing and will continue to grow even after the split. I feel it' s good to vest abit before they split. Your call ) |

Aniki, the share price after split could be lower than current stock price divided by 4 also, right? Is there a risk to enter before the entitlement, 9 June?

Vicom have plenty of inspection centres in sg, their cashflow is pretty stable and give pretty consistent dividened to their shareholders over the years. Think they are going to split shares soon. 1:4. Another reliable sg stock to consider with pretty high dividened as compared to SEL. I reckoned that it can shoot up to $10 in the coming weeks, let' s huat together :) |

What's going on with this counter that hit historical high while there is no extra business while Gov keeps saying control the no. Of COE, ie reduce the no. Of vehicles? Target to have every 10 mins walk, can find a MRT?
