EGP Energy H1 net profit rises 179.7% to S$6.1 million on strong revenue growth [SINGAPORE] EGP Energy Corp : EGX +0.65% posted a 179.7 per cent rise in net profit to S$6.1 million for the first half of the year ended Jun 30, 2026, from S$2.2 million in the previous corresponding period. No interim dividend was declared. Gross profit rose 227% y-o-y to $10.1 million, outpacing growth in cost of sales which rose 133% y-o-y to $20.6 million. The stronger performance was attributed to higher revenue from the transmission and distribution (T& D) and maintenance and services (M& S) segments. Segmentally, the T& D segment recorded half-year revenue of $20.8 million, up 156% y-o-y. This was mainly due to revenue recognised from new T& D projects that commenced during 1HFY2026 as well as from projects that commenced in late FY2025 and progressed substantially during 1HFY2026. Meanwhile, the M& S segment saw its revenue grow nearly 160% y-o-y to $9.9 million due to the commencement of a new project during 1HFY2026 and an increase of approximately $2.0 million from the provision of ad-hoc services during the six months under review. As at June 30, cash and bank balances stood at $27.1 million and the company had zero bank borrowings. Net asset value is 25.08 cents. As of Aug 13, EGP Energy&rsquo s order book stood at $296.2 million, with projects are slated for progressive completion through 2031, providing revenue visibility. The company is &ldquo optimistic&rdquo about its business prospects over the next 12 months. Its growing order book, established customer relationships, experienced management team and strengthened balance sheet following the successful completion of its IPO, which raised net proceeds of $27.4 million, supports its outlook. &ldquo Backed by our track record, longstanding customer relationships and experienced project team, we will continue to pursue tender opportunities that play to our technical strengths and meet our targeted returns,&rdquo says CEO Frankie Fan. &ldquo With the funds raised from our recent IPO, we are well-positioned to accelerate our growth plans, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions, and to expand into selected regional markets where our expertise gives us a clear edge.&rdquo Shares in EGP Energy dipped 0.5 cents, or 0.7%, to close at 77 cents on Aug 13. Since joining the Mainboard of the Singapore stock exchange on July 29, the stock has surged 51% from its IPO price of 51 cents. |

EGP Energy wins $1.1 mil contract, brings order book to $302.4 mil EGP Energy Corporation, which ended its trading debut at more than a fifth above its IPO price, announced that it has won a $1.1 million contract. The company, which priced its IPO at 51 cents, now has an order book worth $302.4 million, to be fulfilled progressively to 2031. EGP says the newly-won contract is for a 66kV switchgear for a battery energy storage system in Singapore. The contract was awarded by a Singapore-based engineering company providing mechanical and electrical engineering services, technical manpower supply, and equipment and spare parts sourcing to industries. EGP' s executive chairman and CEO Frankie Fan says this project underscores the company&rsquo s capability in delivering high-voltage electrical infrastructure for Singapore' s energy sector. He notes that the order book now is around 7.8 times the company' s FY2025 revenue of $39 million. " This reflects the broader momentum in Singapore' s electrical infrastructure sector, as investment continues to flow in to meet growing energy demand from data centres, semiconductor manufacturing, and electrification. " With over three decades in the T& D industry, we are well-positioned to capture these growth opportunities," he adds. EGP shares ended the day at 62 cents, after hitting as high as 66 cents earlier in the day. EGP Energy shares rise 23.5% above IPO price on trading debut [SINGAPORE] Shares of electrical infrastructure solutions and service provider EGP Energy Corporation rose on Wednesday (Jul 29) morning on its trading debut on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). The counter began trading at S$0.55, up 7.8 per cent from its initial public offering price of S$0.51. It later rose further to S$0.63 &ndash 23.5 per cent up from the IPO price &ndash at midday. EGP Energy is the fourth company to list on the SGX mainboard this year, following the listings of Foundation Healthcare, JustCo and UI Boustead Reit. It now has an issued share capital of nearly 225.5 million shares, with a market capitalisation of about S$115 million based on the offering price. &ldquo This listing strengthens our financial position and gives us the platform to deepen our capabilities, grow with the demands of Singapore&rsquo s evolving electrical infrastructure, and extend our track record into new markets across the region,&rdquo said Frankie Fan, executive chairman and CEO of EGP Energy. Expansion planned EGP Energy provides end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services for major power grid projects, ranging from medium-voltage local networks to extra-high-voltage transmission lines. Its IPO comprised about 18.8 million offering shares priced at S$0.51 each. Of these, about 17.8 million shares were offered through an international placement to institutional and other investors in Singapore, as well as selected institutional and other investors outside the US. One million shares were offered to the public in Singapore. The Singapore shares offered were 17.6 times subscribed by the close of the public offer at noon on Monday, with 651 valid applications for the offer shares. These applicants applied for an aggregate of 17.6 million shares, with about S$9 million received in application monies, said EGP Energy. The company expected to raise total gross proceeds of about S$30.6 million and net proceeds of about S$27.4 million through the IPO and cornerstone subscription agreements. These agreements were expected to raise about S$21 million in gross proceeds across about 41.2 million new shares. The company said it intends to use the proceeds primarily to expand its product offerings and customer base, strengthen its maintenance services capabilities, invest in digitalisation and intelligent technologies, and support its expansion into Malaysia and Indonesia. While EGP Energy said it does not have a defined dividend policy, it previously said it intends to recommend and distribute dividends of up to 40 per cent of its net profit after tax for 2026 and 2027. |
