 Alert Admin 		To be honest, cant be helped as the DMF-methanol spread is barely breaking even and Jiutian needs at least 3k spread to break even. It was 2.4-2.6k for the last 2 quarters and possibly 2Q as well.

Also, macro factors such as the below, and potential recessionary fears are not helping:
 

BARCELONA (ICIS)&ndash This year, China will complete an unprecedented amount of petrochemical and fertilizer capacity, creating oversupply in some global markets and switching the country from net importer to an exporter in certain commodities.
  • 232m tonnes/year of chemical and fertilizer capacity due onstream 2023/4
  • Chemicals demand growth will flatten or turn negative
  • China GDP growth will stay low, driven by demographics
  • China growth driven by massive stimulus, construction bubble bursting
  • China switches from net importer to exporter of purified terephthalic acid (PTA)
  • Polypropylene (PP) from 67% self-sufficient to 97% in 2022, may become net exporter
  • Monoethylene glycol (MEG) moves closer to self-sufficiency
  • In 2014 China announced a self-sufficiency strategy for chemicals
  • Pandemic delayed impact of new capacities
  • US shale-related expansions target exports to China
  • Could result in capacity closures in other regions
That said, Jiutian could be in a better position now to weather the storm as its balance sheet is much more solid than before.

This was mainly due to a decline in the prices of our products arising from the challenging business environment faced industry wide. Further details on the Group&rsquo s financial performance and operations will be made available in the 1Q2023 financial results, which will be announced on or before 15 May 2023. Together with the interim dividend of S$0.0075 per ordinary share paid on 17 June 2022, the total dividend for the financial year ended 31 December 2022 will be S$0.009 per ordinary share.  Alert Admin 		Based on the FS, cash holdings and subsequent info - expect ~0.006 dividend in June. They have usually been generous with didivend as % of share price (which is stuck on a hamster wheel). No reason not to expect a reasonble payout this time as well.
