x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Ace Achieve 1st 6 months profit of S$3.2 mil is almost equal to last financial year profit of S$3.8 mil. All things being equal this year profit should be better than last year. Quote below is the company' s commentary on the 1st half results : Quote : A commentary at the date of the announcement of the significant trends and competitive conditions of the industry in which the Group operates and any known factors or events that may affect the Group in the next reporting period and the next 12 months. In line with market expectations, China awarded 4G licenses to all three major operators: China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom in December 2013(1). The license will allow operators to commence commercial services utilizing the high-speed 4G network. It is expected to spur a new cycle of infrastructure investment in China& rsquo s telecommunication industry as all operators are positioning themselves to capture more high-paying data users. Typically, at maximum speed, 4G network can be ten times faster than that of 3G(2). Currently, only a third of China& rsquo s 1.22 billion mobile subscribers have 3G access(3). Given this positive backdrop, the increase in capital expenditure is expected to spur demand for network equipment and related solutions. In the early phase, the Group& rsquo s products and services that are tied to network infrastructure such as Wireless Coverage Solutions and Broadband Data Solutions is expected to capitalize on such investment trends. Operators are also expected to continue to invest in other supporting infrastructures such as servers and other back-end platforms to support growing data demand. It is also expected to generate opportunities for the Group& rsquo s Operations and Business Support Solutions. Overall, the availability of high-speed mobile network in China is expected to offer significant advancement to the wireless industry as it allows service providers to deliver other more comprehensive contents and services that are not possible with 3G network. The faster and more reliable network presents us with immense opportunities to create new innovative mobile applications and other value-added services for our customers. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the group expects to remain profitable for Financial Year 2014.
