Chances of a containment?. (Yes) Over next several mths are high. Ratio of fatalities to infections is less than 3%, whereas SARS killed a tenth of those close to 8,000 folks that were infected. Public health standards seem to be better nowaday n faster.
Would be foolish to chase biotech related firms as saviours. Gains can evaporate, once the virus fears recede, as it did in any novel virus, faced with a reversal, mkt forces and firms alike, have fickle fortunes. Battered for a meaty stocks may look more enticing. |

last night lippo has extended the closing date of the takeover offer to 02/05, but the pace of accumulating shares at 42 is still very very slow, although so far they are very steady and patience, if they really serious in wanting to achieve ultimate control of hmc, they may have to increase the offer price, after all the independence financial advisors also said the financial term is not fair, n since gateway has so far revised v substantilally the terms n conditions of the convertible note, so it is not unrealistic to assume lippo may respond acccordingly, just hope they do it sooner than later. good luck to all who follow this stock. |
