x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SINGAPORE &ndash UOB has been awarded $76.1 million in claims against Indonesian developer Lippo Marina Collection (LMC) after an appeal. The sum is more than four times the $17.7 million initially awarded in July 2025 for the bank&rsquo s losses incurred from disbursing approximately $182 million in inflated home loans for units at Marina Collection in Sentosa Cove. On Aug 24, the Appellate Division of the High Court overturned a key part of the earlier calculation of UOB&rsquo s losses, ruling that mortgage repayments and rental income received by the bank should not have been deducted from the amount of the award. Some may see this as a good ONE time gain for UOB ......however, look further into this ... 1. This is not a small loan ....has the senior mgt look and check into this loan before it is approved.  2. WHY and who is ressponsible and has UOB taken action to close up this gap ?  3. It maybe luck if the full amt is recovered BUT the issue is this OVERLOOK ....reflect on its mgt of loans ?  I gues there is a reason on UOB against the other 2 banks ......time will tell . DYODD

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I interpret the news differently .  The 3 banks plus SGX contributed 95% to STI' s gains YTD . It started the year at 4,646 and has gained 1,100 (24%) points to 5,746 today . Of the 1100 points gained to date , the banks and SGX contributed 95% or 1,050 points . Expectations will be high for tomorrow .  Anyway , my prediction is profit will hit 2b for the first time dividen min 43 max 46 likely to be 44 or 45 cts .  May not run up as much tomorrow as today has gained substantially .

OCBC gain is also much aidded by GE n are doing well .  THE BIG test is the next 2 qtrs.....I really think it might be much more difficult and the able will be there.  Good payout for full year is going to tell a  lot more.  DYODD

MORE IMPORTANT .....which is moving forward....expecting full year to be BETTER then 2025 ( so the dividend at year end ??  DYODD)  also please note the ROE ....very impressive for any banks.  OCBC and UOB gain today on DBS good result . STI too. Baring any global issue ....I think DBS can march on ....76/78 this year. Just my personal view Happy investing
