It is a healthy development for the retail bond market currently as stability returns following a few S$-denominated bond defaults last year. It gives better peace of mind to retail bond investors. SGX should encourage a couple more high quality and credible companies to do national service by way of issuing retail bonds, perps, pref shares etc. |
