Maybank initiates &lsquo buy&rsquo on Info-Tech Systems at $1.46 Maybank Securities analyst Liu Miaomiao initiated coverage on SME software provider Info-Tech Systems (SGX:ITS) on Aug 12 with a &ldquo buy&rdquo rating and a target price of $1.46. Liu&rsquo s target price represents a 55% upside from the company&rsquo s closing price of 97 cents on Aug 11. Liu says Info-Tech Systems has multiple growth engines behind it to help drive its earnings growth. This includes the expansion of its human resource management system business across Malaysia and India, demand for their AI-related training courses as well as the continued rollout of its client relationship management software. &ldquo We forecast revenue and patmi (profit after tax and minority interests) to deliver FY2025-2028E CAGRs (compound annual growth rate) of 13.7% and 20.8%, respectively,&rdquo Liu says. According to her projections, the company&rsquo s accounting revenue will more than double from $2 million in FY2025 to $4.7 million in FY2028. Liu notes that Info-Tech Systems has zero borrowings and is sitting on a cash pile of $67.3 million at the end of FY2025, giving the company both acquisition and capital-return optionality. &ldquo ITSL&rsquo s (Info-Tech Systems) upfront subscription model limits working-capital requirements and supports strong cash generation,&rdquo she writes, adding that she expects the company to have a dividend payout ratio of 50% and a dividend yield of 4.6% for FY2026. This is on top of Info-Tech Systems potentially being able to distribute special dividends from the surplus cash it has. Liu&rsquo s valuation is based on a target forward PE multiple of about 16.5 times on estimated FY2026 earnings, and represents a 54.5% discount to the global software peer average of 36.3 times. The discount is a reflection of Info-Tech Systems&rsquo smaller operating scale and shorter track record, Liu adds. The company made its trading debut on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on July 4, 2025. Liu&rsquo s initiation report comes just a day after Info-Tech Systems reported that its 1HFY2026 earnings were up 89% y-o-y at $9.7 million. The revenue from its largest business segment, subscriptions, went up 12% y-o-y to $21.2 million while it&rsquo s fastest growing segment, services, went up by 116% y-o-y to $4.9 million. Info-Tech Systems&rsquo services segment includes its education and training arm, Info-Tech Academy. Strong demand for AI training courses has helped to raise the academy&rsquo s number of cumulative registrations, going from around 18,000 at the end of 2025 to over 23,000 as of the 1HFY2026. Info-Tech Systems CEO Dilip Babu says he expects both the academy as well as the company&rsquo s recurring SaaS (software-as-a-service) business to continue to grow. Info-Tech Systems shares closed 0.52% lower at 96.5 cents on Aug 12. |

Info-Tech to benefit from ' structural shift' in government' s AI-related push: RHB Syahril Hanafiah of RHB Bank Singapore has kept his " buy" call and $1.40 target price on business software provider Info-Tech Systems, with a view that this is a company well-positioned to capture rising demand for artificial intelligence upskilling. The industry Info-Tech is in enjoys strong structural tailwinds from government support for AI-driven workforce transformation. " We like this stock for its asset-light enterprise solutions with a growing user base in the SME market across various geographies," says Hanafiah. Citing estimates by the United Nations, Hanafiah says the global AI market is projected to hit US$4.8 trillion by 2033. At the same time, AI could affect 40% of jobs, with up to one-third of the positions in advanced economies to be at risk of automation. " The same advanced economies, however, are better placed to benefit where 27% of jobs could be improved by AI, boosting productivity and complementing human skills, this will take time and effort for the full potential of AI to be realised," he adds. Hanafiah notes that Singapore has been proactive in keeping up with this frontier technology, including a commitment of over $1 billion from 2025 to 2030 to encourage AI research, real-world deployment and talent development. The Singapore government has announced that those who register and complete eligible AI courses will be entitled to a six-month free AI premium subscription. This initiative is expected to take effect in the second half of the year, but no details on course eligibility have been announced yet, he says. The analyst calls this " structural shift" in policies an opportunity for Info-Tech Systems, particularly for its learning courses segment, operated via Info-Tech Academy, which now offers more than 15 courses that include six AI-related courses. Course participants can tap SkillsFuture funding to financially subsidise the courses. " While eligible courses under SkillsFuture offer a wide range of skills and learnings, we think the government is putting more emphasis on AI-related upskilling given the fast-evolving nature of this technology and how disruptive it can be to the labour market," Hanafiah suggests. Citing the company management, Info-Tech Systems is " actively expanding" its AI course offerings to meet the growing market demand and support workforce upskilling initiatives. " The focus would be on practical, industry-relevant AI courses across various business functions, and management is planning to add 6-7 more courses on AI by the end of this year. " With AI courses making up the majority of registrations year to date at the Academy, we believe Info-Tech Systems is well positioned to further capture this growing market amidst supportive public policies," he says. For now, he is keeping his call and target price, pending further developments. Info-Tech Systems shares, as at 10.53 am, is down 0.55% to trade at 91 cents. |

Info-Tech Systems wants to leverage customers&rsquo overseas expansion for future growth It wants to follow its customers to expand into Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam as this will improve customer stickiness [SINGAPORE] Info-Tech Systems : ITS -2.7%, a software as a service (SaaS) player, sees future growth coming from customers&rsquo overseas expansion. As well, it aims to add to its suite of software products while growing in its existing markets. The pure-play software provider targeted at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operates a recurring subscription revenue model for human resource management system (HRMS), accounting and customer relationship management software services. It was started in Singapore and has now replicated its business model in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and India. Nearly all markets generated double-digit improvement in revenue in 2025. Babu Dilip, the CEO of Info-Tech Systems, said it wants to follow its customers to expand into Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and other countries instead of setting up offices in the markets where the customers go. This will improve customer stickiness and also ensure Info-Tech Systems does not have to price its subscriptions lower because the market where the customer expands to might have a lower cost of living. &ldquo They are paying in (their own) currencies. When they (expand overseas), they don&rsquo t mind paying the same price. They&rsquo re not expecting local price because they want one (integrated) solution. They can manage the entire workforce. That&rsquo s our future strategy,&rdquo he said. This strategy aligns with Info-Tech Systems principle of not sacrificing profit margins for revenue. Singapore and Dubai, hence, are premium markets for the software provider, which collects all subscription fees a year ahead. It incorporated a company in Dubai before the Middle East war started but has not commenced business activities there due to the geopolitical conflicts. Bullish about Singapore Singapore now rakes in 75 per cent of revenue for the mainboard-listed Info-Tech Systems that was listed in July in 2025. Malaysia contributes less than 20 per cent, while India and Hong Kong make up the balance. Despite the high contribution from the city-state, Babu is bullish about this market as there are nearly 370,000 SMEs in Singapore and the government is continuing its digitalisation drive. These present vast potential for Info-Tech Systems to tap. It was estimated to have a 9.8 per cent share of the Singapore market for cloud-based HRMS and accounting SaaS in 2024, indicated an independent study. In Singapore, the company also runs the Info-Tech Academy, set up two years ago to offer mainly artificial intelligence courses as it foresaw demand for training in the field. &ldquo We already anticipated how to (tap) the potential from AI. We are not chip manufacturers... but we need to capitalise (on) AI. As I said, we always have a philosophy, that is, to move towards the market, don&rsquo t go against it, follow the market.&rdquo The academy offers cross-selling opportunities for Info-Tech Systems software services, too. It is also contemplating extending the academy to other markets. Support from the government of Singapore for individuals and enterprises to adopt technology in the form of subsidies bodes well for Info-Tech Systems, be it for its software or training. For example, the company benefitted from a surge in demand for training in late 2025 as Singaporeans and permanent residents rushed to use the SkillsFuture credits provided by the government before they expired. Revenue, as a consequence, jumped nearly threefold to S$12.7 million for its training services for the second half of FY2025 to December.  Babu turned his CEO office into a temporary classroom to capture the red-hot demand. &ldquo My room doesn&rsquo t matter,&rdquo said the shareholder with a 42 per cent stake. The asset-light company does not own properties but leases additional premises according to demand, thereby retaining flexibility to scale up or down. Babu is not concerned about the possibility of the government ending such subsidies as he has seen in the past 15 years various types of grants being handed out to help enterprises and individuals. The company has done well in past recessions, benefitting from the government&rsquo s assistance to help everyone upskill or digitalise to prepare for the economic turnaround, he said. AI, a double-edged sword AI presents opportunities and challenges for Info-Tech Systems, but the helmsman believes the company he co-founded will ride the boom and emerge ahead of the competition. Info-Tech Systems commenced incorporating AI into its software in 2025, enabling customers to perform analyses using the technology. AI also sped up its development of new systems. Babu said the company is exploring a few solutions to add to its suite of software, including a point-of-sale system targeted at the retail and F& B industries. With more solutions, the rising adoption of AI and vast market potential, Babu is confident that Info-Tech Systems will be able to boost its revenue. He dismissed concerns that AI will replace software services, saying that technology changes job nature but does not eliminate all roles. As long as companies have workers on their payroll, there will be a need for HRMS, for example. But AI equips competitors or new entrants to the industry with capabilities that Info-Tech Systems also has access to, Babu pointed out. He is unfazed, however, as he believes it is able to beat rivals with its business model, execution of strategies, customer services and up-to-date solutions. Info-Tech Systems&rsquo business model entails locating IT and backend employees &ndash more than 300 of its 600-strong staff &ndash in India, paying them in rupees but billing customers in strong currencies such as the Singapore dollar. Manpower topped its cost expenses. Babu also hailed from India, arriving jobless in Singapore in 2000 &ndash when the dotcom bubble burst (as Internet companies&rsquo share prices plunged) and recession ensued. &ldquo When I came, it was the worst time," said the naturalised Singaporean. Now he owns a 41.4 per cent stake in Info-Tech Systems with a market value of about S$238 million, and has no plans of paring this down. |
