After starting this IPO Thread a few months ago and having studied its maiden report (for period 19.7.2019 to 30.0.2019) recently, I am happy to note that the Available dpu per unit is 1.38 US Cts and this amt is 5.4% above projection. I have crossed-checked and cross-referenced this amt with the other targetted figures and have found all numbers to tally ! Annualised, this dpu will yield 6.86 US Cts per unit, and the yield at a Unit Price of USD 0.94 = 7.30%. I invite comments to my calculations, if any,... |

They are so afraid to share the IPO placement stats and percentage.   People are not stupid. This is just a consequence of backlash against Trump protectionist policies and how Asian people feel welcomed in the USA.  Better for me to wait until after trading starts, to even think of buying. | ||

Strong cornerstone investors, such as SPH and Hiap Hoe. Larger mkt cap than ARA/Eagles hospitality trust, of about 1.1bn SGD. Economies of scale would be larger. Also, a good cook eats his own food. Its sponsor will own 24.7% after listing. This is unlike Eagles Trust, where the sponsor only took up 15.2% after listing and ARA, where its sponsor took up 9.5% after listing. Cheers. |

I think KBS has learnt the kung-fu of listing in the SGX from the earlier REIT, and now wants to repeat the performance... I think this REIT can' t win in the US marketplace, hence, decided to invest here instead.

why kbs is offloading its assets to aingapore investors instead of usa market?
With high yield of 7.x% and larger investors pool , the logical listing path should be usa. Hopefully not another dejavu of kbs reit |
