x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Let me try to calculate the effective yield for 5 yrs maturity, Buying from open market,     1.039cts of  10,000 units =  $10425.6 5 years 3.85% interest =  $1925 Upon maturity, getting back $10000.    Loss of $425.6 capital. Effective interest rate  ( $1925-$425.6) /10425.6 *100  ÷ 5 yrs = 2.876%

Those who bought and for some reason decided to sell. instantly profited 1 year return in 7 days. Equally good to keep it for 5 years anyway. That is the power of high grade bonds with good returns!

" now, let' s hope fully redeemed when hold to maturity.
