Saudi-led coalition keeps up strikes on Yemen rebels AFP News Thursday - Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched new strikes in Yemen despite a demand by rebels for a complete halt to the raids as a condition for UN-sponsored peace talks. The regional alliance on Tuesday declared an end to first phase of its operations against the Iran-backed Huthi rebels and their allies, but vowed to keep hitting them with targeted bombing when necessary. Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies launched the air war on March 26 in an attempt to restore the authority of President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi, who was forced to flee abroad last month as the rebels swept across the country. On March 20 - Twitter, the " Green Brigade" said it had struck a Huthi vehicle. IS claimed its first attack in Yemen on multiple suicide bombings targeting Huthis at Shiite mosques in Sanaa that killed 142 people and wounded more than 350. Al-Qaeda has traditionally been the dominant jihadist group in Yemen and has exploited the growing turmoil to expand in the largely lawless southeast. Most counters ended in red. So is REITs n P.Lim stocks. BBs n players took profit n or cut their loss. Just sharing my thot on today trading is just for today oni, as SGX-ST counters mostly took profit after recent run. Others thought n comment is most weclome to contribute and share, thk Q. Note - As it happening every day, whether is a small or huge profit n or even to cut lost. Experience n deep pocket players can turn worst, more worst for new novice players. Every now n than....some loss to some who win, some can loss more n some less...At the end of the day. BBs tend to move faster with huge stakes, rather then to commit huge amount of money n to get stuck. U think??. They are also human n don like to get stuck. just like us retail small players. |

Selectively shorted counters, kateks has no guaruntee shorting can make money, much less to worry if price is long n trade within range and up suddenly by 1, 2 n 3 cents. Kateks may also get into double whammy, kateks can short n must buy back within the day time frame, and one can never know price can also move and via versa. Counters that can move within range is not easy to short with plenty of ammo to spare. Longists BBs and those had vested interest together with day Traders are all working to have some interest to lift the value chain higher. Stocks that is under value long over due, have a better deal.

Pennies. Many were trading way below their value due to across the board implementation to curb extensive speculation, and this in turn caused retail interest to be side line.
A major event was implementation of across the board in one go. Other reason was due to external factor. The like of Greece exit, China falling GDP. OIL N so on n so forth. |

MAS, SGX to go ahead with proposed stock market reforms, sets minimum trading price
Companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) will have to ensure their shares are worth at least 20 cents each, as authorities go ahead with proposed reforms. This was one of the measures announced by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and SGX on Friday (last August 1). The requirement will affect about 220 of the 600-plus companies on SGX' s main board. "This is to address risks of low-priced securities being more susceptible to excessive speculation and potential market manipulation, MAS and SGX said in a statement. A transition period of 12 months will be given to affected issuers to undertake corporate actions to meet the new requirement. This proposal will, over time, improve the quality of issuers listed on the SGX main board," they added. |
