Money milking again! Really pity those who have bought & hold the share when S-chips were hot years ago, CF was once close to ..$2/share & dividend was good. It have since gone to ask for money from shareholders.
Look like price going to sink to around 20c very soon. I'm not vested. |

China Fishery Proposes Rights Issue Proceeds to help fund redemption of Copeinca Notes Singapore,
11 February 2015 ? Leading global industrial fishing company, China Fishery Group Limited (?China Fishery? or the ?Group?) (SGX: B0Z.SI), today announced that it proposes to undertake a Rights Issue of up to 1,714,006,713 new ordinary shares (the ?Proposed Rights Issue?) on the basis of 4 rights shares for every 5 existing ordinary shares. The rights shares will be priced at S$0.173 for each rights share, which represents a discount of approximately 33.5% to the closing price of S$0.260 per share on the Singapore Stock Exchange as at 9 February 2015, the last trading day immediately before the announcement. The Company intends to utilize the net proceeds of the Rights Issue, together with other funding of the Group, to fund the redemption of the US$250 million (approximately S$337.5 million) 9.0% notes due 2017 issued by the Copeinca Group (the ?Copeinca Notes?). The remaining proceeds, if any, will be used for general working capital purposes of the Group and/or to reduce borrowings of the Group. ?We remain committed to the early redemption of the Copeinca Notes which are due in 2017. It is an important step in our objective of reducing borrowings and strengthening the balance sheet. We have recently announced an improvement in our net-debt-to-equity from 89.6% to 77.9% over the first quarter of financial year 2015, and the early redemption of the Copeinca Notes will deliver further reduction in gearing and interest expense,? said Mr Ng Joo Siang, Group Managing Director. Pacific Andes Resources Development Limited and shareholders representing a total shareholding of 70.5% will be supporting the Proposed Rights Issue and will use approximately S$199.7 million (approximately US$147.9 million) to subscribe in full for their entitlement to the Rights Shares of China Fishery. Maybank Kim Eng Securities Pte Ltd has been appointed to act as the manager in connection with the proposed Rights Issue. |

Quotas and TACs Peruvian industry expects anchovy fishing in south will restart soon. 12 January 2015. Peru' s national fisheries organization SNP (National Society of Fisheries) has welcomed the new rules established on 9 January that allow industrial anchovy fishing from five miles in the southern coast, reports La Republica. The new rules involve an extension by two miles of the fishing area for industrial anchovy fishing in southern Peru, since before Friday vessels were restricted to operate within seven miles of the shore. Peru' s marine institute Imarpe report of 8 December, which re-iterated its advice to suspend fishing for this year' s second anchovy season, stated anchovy stock was reduced by the end of November last year, with very low densities in the northern region, which is the main area of fishing for anchovy. This low density is linked to high presence of juveniles -- 94% in terms of weight and 84% in number of individuals, according to the report. Soon Hock fish for new yr. Can huat if anchovy situation im Peru improves. Fishmeal px > 2.2k. Hope result will be encouraging even when catch is no good. But think dividend is burnt for this yr n next yr at least.

(Photo: Copeinca) A growth of fishmeal exports is expected  PERU Thursday, January 22, 2015, 02:40 (GMT + 9) Scotiabank estimates that the production of fishmeal in Peru will see a recovery this year, situation that will allow exports of this product to grow around 12 per cent. This good performance would follow a negative 2014 for Pacific anchovy catch. According to the latest report from Scotiabank, the production of fishmeal fell 39 per cent and the value of exports, 4 per cent. The Committee in charge of the National Study of El Niñ o Phenomenon (Enfen) forecasts conditions between normal and slightly warm in the summer of 2015 in the Peruvian sea. These conditions may favour the recovery of Pacific anchovy biomass, especially juveniles, Gestion informed. In addition, the ban on Pacific anchovy ordered by the Government during the second fishing season is also expected to have a positive effect on the biomass recovery. " Under this assumption, we project a catch of 3.5 million tonnes of Pacific anchovy for 2015, up 53 per cent compared to the estimate for 2014 (2.3 million tonnes)," said Erika Manchego, senior analyst of Scotiabank&rsquo s Department of Economic Studies. The document released by the bank also details fishmeal production is expected to reach about 800,000 tonnes this year. During 2014, the international price of fishmeal kept an upward trend and exceeded the historical record set in 2012 of USD 2,033 per tonne, hitting USD 2,290 in December. Manchego considers it likely that prices will remain high during the first quarter, but she believes that " By May, the estimated recovery of Peruvian production will push down prices throughout the year." |

I sold all at $0.38 & never come back to this fish even it drop to $0.245, this is because there were many good stock drop to history low and much more attractive than fish, like ezion, genting, Rotary.....
Never touch this fish since it No dividend, Ng family is not a trustworthy management, becareful! |

Wow! Quite a few expert fishery guys here. I have seen many Bulls here for a long long time but the price React in in oppsite direction in a long long time. I wonder why? Should have move to others long long ago. Why fall in love with this for so long and it does love you back. | ||

May be a temporary blip due to resumption of share buyback scheme. The market mover is the increase in the Anchovy catch which ban has not been lifted yet. Even when the ban is lifted, will take sometime before can see momentum. |

On the other hand, CF is very predictable. Its ups and downs depend on fish catch and the market. Unfortunately, the fishes are depleting and the recent weather did not make thing easy for CF who has cummulated a lot of debt, buying up Copeinca. Now the fish meal price is being pushed so high that many fish and other agri farms are trying to use alternative feeds, though not as good but good enough to ride over the period. The future of CF will depend on the weather and how the biomass regain its mass and if the farmers will want to switch back to fishmeals. Most important of all is whether CF can ride through this storm financially especially when it does not have good havests in the past and its parent companies failed in many business ventures. Good to watch the progress and predict how this fish will swim in the future. |

Think it is Yuuzoo that is very much unpredictable. Yuuzoon does not have a fundamental now purely depended on share holders' s fund for suvival. The price rose recent for no other reason than speculation. Understand the CEO has a story that Yuuzoo' s price will reach $1/= because he wanted to acquire a software product. When that failed, he threatened to relist Yuuzoo in Nasdaq hopefully, price will pick up. He must have burnt a big hole in his pocket. Note sure what excuse he would come up the next time. Computer games are much like softwares and other luxurous goods, going up and down with family wealth only those with abandon of money will be interested in new softwares. Computer game software will be the harder hit during a recession. So if you hold Yuuzoo, be ready to face the speculation.. up and down. Good for trading though if one can catch the right mood of the investors. |
