bro, i dont believe in jinx lol.. i think bro ryuuenji got some sources which we dont, and he' s good in technicals.. we can say all we want for fundamentals, but in this market, there are lots of BB traders.. they can pump a worthless sh*t to crazy price, or hammer a fundamentally decent counter to crap.. the valuetronics incident is quite a good example.. the fundamentals are still good, no debt, but just an analyst skewed report released in a timed situation where market is bad, kill a lot of retailers..

The recent tumble in crude prices hasn&rsquo t shaken the faith of two of the world' s biggest providers of drilling and production services. Baker Hughes Inc. (BHI) said yesterday that oil would have to continue falling to $75 a barrel and stay there for a few months before energy companies will cut back spending. Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) described the drop as fear of short-term oversupply and said it wasn&rsquo t changing a long-term view that its earnings will almost double from last year&rsquo s level by 2017. |

with the low oil price, oil companies will likely reduce their exploration.. new development may also be hit as well.. the low oil price will likely impact those deepwater players, as it is more expensive to get oil in deepwater.. so first to get hit are those exploration & deepwater players.. only if oil price continue to remain low for quite some time, such that it is economically not profittable to do production and the oil companies decide to cut some production to save cost, then we may see production reduce, otherwise, production goes on, just like life goes on as per normal.. so in short, those oil & gas counters that are serving the production phase of E& P cycle, or those shallow water players, will be the ones that are least hit.. just my opinion..

actually if im not wrong, OSVs are needed in every stage of the E& P cycle, from exploration, development, production to decommissioning.. but i think OSVs will be more extensively used in development & production phase.. in developing phase, this include for instance getting the rigs to the location.. this is done by using AHT/AHTS, where these towing vessels will tow and set the rigs at their location.. then when setting & constructing the necessary infrastructures, we will need all those supply vessels like PSV, to transport those raw materials needed for the development of the infrastructure.. also in the instance where we need to lay pipes, we will need pipelaying barges, and these pipelaying barges will be setting the pipes via assistance of the AHT and the barge' s mooring winches.. then at production phase, vessels like supply vessels will be needed to transport materials & manpower to & from the production area throughout the production phase.. so for those OSV charterers, i think it depends on who their customer base are, whether their main client are exploration companies, or development/production..  Go to this link to get a rough idea of the types of OSV, the description of E& P cycle, & senstivity to oil price for each phase.. this is 2009 article i think, but the main gist still applicable.. http://www.marinemoneyoffshore.com/node/4011

It is definitely risky now.   The risk with NCL is its business model.   The LOI is actually very useful in that it tells the market that NCL can still sell vessels.   This step is important.   However a confirmation of sale will really seal it for NCL.   However, the long-erm question still remains:   Will NCL still be able to sell vessels after this and if oil price continues to drop.   So far NCL has not disappointed the market in its ability to clinch deal.   On the other hand Market expectation of NCL is also high. I don' t think it is realistic to expect a few more LOI within the next few weeks.   If there are, it will really be a miracle and testiment of NCL connection and relationship with its customers. Now I mentioned earlier that OSV works on the supply side of the OSV and part of the reason oil price drop is because no one is slowing production.   But market seems to think that long-term wise the drop in oil price will inevitably affect production.   I am assuming this reason for the massive sell-off. So if oil price up because of demand (or globa growth).   Long-term short-term is good for OSV. If oil price up because supply drop (or production slowed), it actually may not be good news for OSV. If oil price drop  because supply  didn' t slow down, it may not be a bad news for OSV. Basically simply down-grading OSV on oil price without understanding demand/supply properly is not doing OSV justification.   But the market is the boss.   If it says down what can I say. My two-cents.

The problem is if go in now 0.38 or 0.385 also can' t ensure monday price will be up or down. Think now buying any stock also very risky.
