Possiby, but not too sure tho. I know one property at club st that was redeveloped quite some time ago, but not sure if it' s under the company or private by the brothers. They don' t seem like that they are the very active wanna make alot of $ type of people, at least at this stage of their life lah. I think they are planning for the next generation. They don' t need to make anymore $, but definitely it' s worth more otherwise they won' t want to take it private. The other party is a clever person also. maybe wanna open more whoretels in chinatown haha

Qanghoo, well said. Mixed up slightly, but I believe it more for preservation for their next generation. They haven' t done much to unlock that sizeable value yet, if it was indeed true. |

Correction. LCD Global was not started by the Lums. Lum Chang is the family business. LCDG was Eu Yan Sang. It was taken over by LC round abt 25 - 30 yrs ago, I think. The Chinese medicine part of the business was subsequently re-sold to the Eus and eventually re-listed under the original name EYS. Apparently LC bought the original EYS to get hold of EYS' sizeable property holdings in the Chinatown area (not sure if this part was gossip only - cld anyone else shed some light?). |

What the Lum' s are after is to keep the biz in the family. It was started by their father, and now they are handing over to their sons KWS is a friend of theirs. The lums are richer than you think :) |
